What is Nikita Mathis’s name? In a viral video, rapper Busta Rhymes threw a drink at her when she tried to touch him.
But Busta Rhymes has recently been in the news for something other than his music. On social media, there was a video of the rapper throwing a drink at a female fan after she allegedly touched his behind. The problem happened at the MAGIC Fashion Trade Show in Las Vegas, and a video of it quickly went viral.
The woman who runs Platinum Plus Fashions Boutique is a woman. She goes by the name Nikita Mathis. In an interview with The Shade Room, she said she was trying to take a picture with Busta at the time of the fight. She says she didn’t mean to touch him; it was just a mistake.
In the video, Mathis sneaks up behind Busta Rhymes as he walks through the convention centre and grabs his butt. Busta looks her straight in the eyes after turning around and throwing a drink at her. Mathis can be seen smiling or laughing before the fight. But the camera did not catch what she did after the drink was thrown.

Rhymes have often broken the law
This isn’t the first time Busta Rhymes has been in a fight. In New York City in 2015, he threw a protein drink at a gym worker and was charged with second-degree assault. The charge was changed to harassment after he admitted guilt and agreed to take classes dealing with anger.

Busta Rhymes has also said he backs the #MeToo movement, which wants to draw attention to sexual assault and harassment. In an interview with CNN in 2018, he talked about how important it was to hold people responsible for their actions. And make sure women felt safe and respected.

Fans have different points of view
Some fans have stood up for Busta Rhymes, but others have said that he was wrong to act that way towards Mathis. Many people have said that if the roles were switched and a male fan was groping a female artist, people would be outraged.
The incident has raised the conversation about consent and personal boundaries again, especially in celebrity culture. Even though it’s understandable that fans might get excited and want to talk to their favourite artists, it’s only okay to touch someone with their permission. Busta Rhymes hasn’t said anything in public about what happened with Mathis. And it needs to be clarified what will happen with the law.
Busta Rhymes: Bio
Trevor George Smith Jr. was born on May 20, 1972. He is an American rapper, singer, musician, record producer, record executive, and actor who goes by the stage name Busta Rhymes. Busta Rhymes was named after NFL and CFL wide receiver George “Buster” Rhymes by Chuck D of Public Enemy.1
He is best known for his crazy style and sense of fashion, which he shows off in a number of creative music videos. He is also known for his complicated way of rhyming, which involves rapping quickly and using a lot of internal rhyme and half rhyme. He has been nominated 11 times for a Grammy Award for his work.
About.com put him on its list of the 50 Greatest MCs of Our Time (1987–2007), and Steve Huey of AllMusic called him one of the best and most prolific rappers of the 1990s. In 2012, he was named one of the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time by The Source. MTV has said that he is “one of the best visual artists in hip-hop.”
Busta Rhymes was one of the group’s original members. Later, he started the record label Conglomerate (which was first called Flipmode Entertainment) and the production team The Conglomerate (formerly Flipmode Squad).
Busta Rhymes signed a contract with Cash Money Records in November 2011. On July 23, 2014, Busta Rhymes said that he was leaving Cash Money Records because he didn’t get along with the other artists and that he was no longer with Republic.

Busta Rhymes: Married Life
A lot of their fans are interested in how they deal with problems. Many people want to know if their marriages and relationships are going well, just like they want to know if their jobs are going well. Not all of them have been able to keep their marriages going well, which is sad.2
Either they are no longer married or they have never had a stable family. Busta Rhymes is one of these very well-known people. Even though he has done well in life, there have been some warning signs in his love life. So, does Busta Rhymes have a wife? The answer is no. He has never been married. Read on to learn more about him, including whether or not he is dating.
The rapper is now single and probably isn’t in a relationship with anyone. He has, however, dated more than one beautiful woman. He’s had several affairs, and he has six children. He went out with Jill Miskelly, and that’s how Mariah Elizabeth Miskelly came to be.
In 1999, Jill made the rapper take a paternity test to prove he was the father. Their daughter was born in 1998. Trevor John Smith Jr. also went out with Joanne Wood. Unfortunately, this relationship ended because Joanne was a lesbian.
Busta Rhymes: Career
In 1986, Smith, Charlie Brown (born Bryan Higgins), Dinco D (born James Jackson), and Cut Monitor Milo (born Sheldon Scott), all of whom were also from Long Island, formed the East Coast hip hop group Leaders of the New School.3
When they opened for the hip-hop group Public Enemy, that was their big break. Chuck D of the band Public Enemy gave Busta Rhymes and Charlie Brown their stage names.
Leaders of the New School started recording at the end of 1990. In 1991, Elektra Records put out their first album, A Future Without a Past… In early 1992, the group was on “Scenario,” a posse cut by A Tribe Called Quest. In 1993, they put out T.I.M.E., which stands for “The Inner Mind’s Eye.”
Smith became popular because of his advanced rhymes and his own style, which was different from most New York rappers at the time.
Smith was raised by two Jamaican parents, and his music and image as an artist show that he is proud of his roots. Smith was the only one in the group to have dreadlocks and rap in Jamaican patois.
Smith’s unique style gave the group something that helped them become popular quickly. Soon after, though, the group broke up on the set of Yo! MTV Raps because of problems caused by his rising popularity.
By the summer of 1992, Rhymes was making guest appearances on songs by artists like Big Daddy Kane, Another Bad Creation, The Notorious B.I.G., Brand Nubian, A Tribe Called Quest, and KRS-One, as well as on the interludes of Mary J. Blige’s debut album, What’s the 411? and R&B trio TLC’s second album, CrazySexyCool.
Busta Rhymes: Early Life
Trevor Smith Jr. was born in New York City on May 20, 1972. Trevor Smith Sr. and Geraldine Green, his parents, both have roots in Jamaica. This Caribbean background comes through loud and clear in Busta’s music, which has a Jamaican rhythm and island slang.4
When he was on the Drink Champs podcast in 2020, Busta went so far as to say that “Caribbean culture gave birth to hip hop.” Daring claim? (Almost.)
Trevor Jr. was a kid in New York when hip hop was just starting out, so he got to see it grow. How could a young man not be interested in the new genre after seeing The Cold Crush Brothers and Force MDs fight in epic battles?
Trevor was one of the lucky few who got to see hip hop’s humble beginnings on the streets, long before it became popular in the country as a whole. (Busta also says that “Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang was a very important song that made him want to be a rapper.)
Busta Rhymes:Â The Leaders Part Ways
But it looked like the group was already falling apart before their first album came out. In a later interview, Busta used an example to show that the writing was on the wall as early as 1991: “That’s why, if you go to the first Leaders album and hear “Too Much on My Mind,” I don’t have a verse on it.”
Of course, the Leaders’ appearance on Yo! MTV Raps in 1993 was the most well-known time they fought with each other. Busta Rhymes and Charlie Brown got into an argument in front of the cameras. Charlie Brown didn’t seem too excited about his longtime friend’s upcoming solo run.
Add to that the fact that Busta, but none of the other Leaders, had shot scenes for the 1993 comedy Who’s the Man? right before their MTV Raps appearance, and you have all the ingredients for an implosion.
Busta Rhymes: A sensational start as a soloist
Starting in the early 1990s, Busta showed up on a number of tracks by other artists. When he was still in the Leaders, artists like Big Daddy Kane and Mary J. Blige used him in their songs. After Busta left his group, he worked with more and more artists. At the start of his solo career, he worked with KRS-One, TLC, Coolio, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, among others.
Busta’s part on the 1994 remix of Craig Mack’s song “Flava in Ya Ear” was my favourite thing he did around this time. Look, I’m not going to act like Busta had the best verse out of the five emcees on this remix. That honour goes to The Notorious B.I.G. But I do think that Busta’s verse on “Flava in Ya Ear” shows who he is as a rapper. It is fast-paced, technically sound, and a lot of fun.
Busta Rhymes: Net Worth 2023
Busta Rhymes has made a lot of money, and most of it has come from his work in the entertainment business. The rapper is sure to always have money coming in because he has many ways to make money.
His records have sold well in the past, and every time he puts out a new one, he makes a lot more money. Busta’s wealth allowed him to buy all the luxury cars he wanted, including a Ferrari California, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Mercedes Classe, a Lamborghini Murcielago, a Rolls Royce Phantom, and a Porsche GT2RS.
He also has designer sneakers worth thousands of dollars, helicopters, private jets, a lot of expensive jewellery, watches, and a luxury mansion worth more than $10 million.
Busta Rhymes is thought to be worth about $65 million, but we haven’t been able to confirm this number yet.
