What went wrong between Drake and Anthony?
Some friction has emerged between Drake and music writer Anthony Fantano.
The 36-year-YouTube old’s channel, The Needle Drop, has 2.6 million subscribers and contains debates and critiques of many musical genres.
Drake has clearly recognized that he is not the singer’s biggest fan, and has openly criticized his most recent albums on his YouTube channel.
This week, the rapper made fun of the critic in his Instagram DMs, and the critic responded with a funny video showing multiple cases of “fake” DMs.
Who exactly is Anthony Fantano?

Anthony Fantano shares some fake Drake DMS
On Thursday, September 15, the music critic posted a video titled “Drake Slid Into My DMs” on his second YouTube account Fantano.
He shared multiple Instagram direct messages (DMs) and screenshots that he said Drake sent him in the eight-minute video.
He claimed he was lifting weights in the garage when he was interrupted by a message from the One Dance vocalist.
Drake, one of the most powerful figures in the music industry, contacted him, he alleged.

The music critic claims Drake sent him a cookie recipe
According to Anthony, the “strange and unexpected” message said: “Anthony! Drizzy has arrived. I’m aware that we don’t always agree on artistic topics and that you don’t love the bulk of my albums.
Before taking an unusual turn, the message said, “But it is what it is you know, may always hope you love the next one.”
Drake, according to the music critic, gave him a recipe for vegan cookies that he wanted him to try, along with a thorough list of the ingredients.
I’d be grateful if you could test this out and let me know if it’s worthwhile for me to try it myself! We appreciate you! Drizzy, get out! The message concluded.
“It’s crazy that he messaged me,” Anthony continued, before praising him and concluding, “You’re the best.”
Drake’s screenshots were phony, he alleged in a quick response to the video, which was evident from the sarcasm.
Drake Reveals The Actual Direct Messages He Sent To Anthony Fantano
Drake, according to the music critic, DM’d him a recipe for vegan cookies.
Anthony Fantano has finally gotten Drake to respond. Though he hasn’t been a fan of Drake’s recent albums, like Honestly, Nevermind, Fantano made a video on YouTube in which he claimed Drake DM’d him and shared a rumored screenshot of it. While you’d think Drake would lash out at Fantano for often critiquing his music, the Internet’s Busiest Music Nerd claims Drake sent him a recipe for vegan cookies.
The Internet reacted as if the video were real, but Drake soon knocked it down. The rapper took to Instagram with a screenshot of the actual texts he wrote to Fantano, proving that he does read TheNeedleDrop reviews.
“Your being is a light 1. And the one is because you are still alive. And because you married a black woman. “I’m feeling a 1 on your existence,” the rapper wrote to Fantano. The critic did not respond to Drake and had gone silent by the time the screenshot was published with his 119 million followers.
Fantano appeared ecstatic as Drake got intimate in his $400K bed, exposing his own DMs. “That bitch posted the salty ass DM to over 100 million people,” he stated alongside a W image. “I made that man release his own DMs,” he continued, accompanied by a Pusha T gif.
Fantano went on to say that his “Rating system lives rent-free” in Drake’s head before arguing with followers about who won the argument. He then uploaded a screenshot of “Back To Back.”
“I’m just being silly,” he wrote at the end of the evening. I’ll be the first to admit Drake has bangers.”
Fantano later went on Instagram Live to discuss the feud. He chastised Drake for texting him in the first place before criticizing the caliber of his remarks.
“That’s why he hires ghostwriters.” That’s the kind of insult you get when a man works solo-dolo. “He would have had to pay someone else to come in and do it if I wanted a good insult in my inbox,” he claimed. He also clarified that he later requested Drake for an interview when it was brought to his attention that he had left the artist on read.
“He was so upset about being left on read that he had to disclose his own DMs.” Leak his own direct messages! That’s unfortunate,” he added. That is regrettable. That is a terrible situation. That’s a pity you couldn’t bait me in the DMs, so you had to show the whole world, you had to show the whole… ‘See, I messaged him…'”
