Teddy Hart: Professional wrestling career
Hart made his debut in July of 1995 in Rockyford, Alberta, where he formed an alliance with his sibling, Matthew, resulting in a triumph over his kinsman, Harry Smith, and TJ Wilson. While participating in Stampede Wrestling, located in Calgary, Hart linked up with Smith, Wilson, and Jack Evans.2
In 2000, he engaged in wrestling for the Matrats organization and became an integral member of their creative team. When he was merely 16 years old, he grappled in the initial match of a World Wrestling Federation spectacle in Calgary, teaming with his relative, Harry Smith, to honor his brother Matthew’s recent passing, challenging Andrew Picarnic and T.J. Wilson (known as Tyson Kidd).
In September of the year 2003, Teddy engaged in combat for Ring of Honor in the city of Philadelphia during their September occasion known as Glory by Honor II. During this event, he managed to defeat his partner and friend, TJ Wilson. Subsequently, backstage, Teddy was confronted by the Special K faction and was ridiculed for his inability to execute high-flying moves with finesse.
On the first day of November in 2003, Teddy was a participant in a Scramble Cage match held in Elizabeth, New Jersey, for Ring of Honor. Unfortunately, Teddy lost the match, and in response, he began to perform advanced maneuvers such as moonsaults and shooting star presses from the top of the cage without properly selling the moves he had taken.
As a result of these reckless actions, some wrestlers were put in harm’s way. This caused other wrestlers to become irate and displeased with Teddy.
Teddy later claimed that his concussion, which he had received during the match, was the reason behind his reckless actions. Since then, Teddy has only appeared in two Ring of Honor shows, which were At Our Best on March 13, 2004, and “Final Battle 2009” against Jack Evans.
Teddy also made various appearances with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he defeated Jonny Storm in August of 2003 before losing to Juventud Guerrera in the Super X Cup Tournament. He returned in March of 2004 as a member of Team Canada, and represented them as their original captain in the second America’s X-Cup.
During this competition, Teddy managed to defeat Mr. Águila in the first match. However, he was later released from the promotion following an altercation with CM Punk in a restaurant. This incident had stemmed from the Elizabeth Ring of Honor show, where Sabu had to separate the two individuals.
