Professional Career Of Steve Duchesne

He was with the Kings until May 30, 1991, when he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Jari Kurri. Duchesne spent one season in Philadelphia before being dealt to the Quebec Nordiques in exchange for young phenom Eric Lindros.

Despite setting a career high with 82 points in Quebec, Duchesne was traded to the St. Louis Blues after the season. He spent two seasons with the Blues before being traded to the Ottawa Senators, where he spent two seasons before being traded back to the Blues for Igor Kravchuk.

Duchesne’s journeyman status continued as he signed as a free agent with the Kings after one season with the Blues, and then was traded to the Flyers at the trade deadline during his first season back with the Kings.

After the 1998-1999 season, Duchesne signed as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings, where he won the Stanley Cup in his final season, 2001-02. Steve now lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and two children, Lake and Dillon, and coaches the Dallas Stars U18 Midget Major AAA hockey team.
