Who Was Fernanda Gill From Staten Island Crash?

One of the teenagers who died in the Staten Island Crash was Fernanda Gill. She was sitting in the front passenger seat. At Staten Island University Hospital North, they said she was dead.

Fernanda was one of three teens who died. The other two were Jesie Gil, 15, and Ashley Rodriguez, also 15. About 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, a 16-year-old boy was driving east on Hylan Boulevard in Tottenville in a 2018 Ford Mustang when he went from the left lane into the right lane.

A preliminary NYPD investigation shows that a 47-year-old man driving west on the boulevard in his 2017 GMC Yukon turned left onto southbound Richard Avenue, hitting the driver’s side of the Ford.

When these two cars crashed into each other, the Ford hit a tree and broke in half. Jesie and Ashley, who were in the back seat, were thrown out. They both died at the scene, but Fernanda Gill, who was 16 and sitting in the front seat, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

All of these people died because the Ford car not only hit the tree, but also uprooted it and hit a telephone pole as it went up the sidewalk.

Obituary And Family Tribute; Fernanda Gill Was A Good Soul

Even though we don’t know much about Fernanda Gill’s family yet, we can assume that they were saddened by the loss of their young daughter, just like the families of the other two teens.

Even though he was very sick when he was taken to the hospital, the 16-year-old Mustang driver is now in stable condition. On the other hand, the GMC Yukon driver and his four passengers, a 44-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman, and an 11-year-old girl, were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Yukon driver was arrested after the police found out that his license had been taken away. Even so, as of this morning, there were still charges against him.

The NYPD said they didn’t know how fast the 16-year-old boy was going at the time of the crash, and they didn’t say if they were going to charge him. After what happened, the city lowered the speed limit on Hylan Boulevard to 30 miles per hour because there had been many accidents there before.
