70th Santosh Trophy
- Services has won the 70th edition of Santosh Trophy Football Championships title 2016 by defeating the host Maharashtra in the final match played at SEC Railway Stadium, Nagpur (Maharashtra)with a score of 2-1.
- With this win, Services has retained the title and has won it for the record fifth time in the years of 1961, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
- Santosh Trophy founded in 1941, is an annual Indian football tournament played in India. It is named after the late Maharaja Sir Manjnatha Nath Roy Chowdhary of 1 Santosh (now in Bangladesh).

Pro Kabaddi League 2016
- Patna Pirates, a team is owned by Rajesh Shah and play their home matches at the Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, won in the final of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) played at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, at New Delhi with a 31-28 victory over Mumba on March 5, 2016.
- Rohit Kumar of Patna Pirates was awarded Best Raider and Mohit Chillar of U Mumba the Best Defender of the match. Rishank Devadiga of U Mumba finished a dream season as the most successful raider with 106 points.
- Puneri Paltan beat Bengal Warriors in the battle for the third place, raider Deepak Niwas Hooda top scoring for the Puneri Paltan with 9 points. PKL is a professional Kabaddi (indigenous sport) league based on the format of the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket tournament.
