In the same event in 2002, he was the caller when Phil Taylor hit the PDC’s first-ever televised nine-darter. Since then, he has called seven more nine-darters live on television, including Mervyn King’s first televised nine-darter outside of Europe in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Bray was a Hertfordshire county player who later played on the pro circuit. He won the Norway and Finland pairs with Eric Bristow.

Also, Bray also set a Guinness World Record by hitting the bullseye on a standard dartboard from 10 feet away on Blackpool’s North Pier. Russ broke the previous day’s best of 9′ 6″ set by fellow PDC official Scott Gibling.
