Parents of Noah Gregor Colin Gregor and Elise Gregor are both Alberta natives. Noah grew up learning about his father and uncle’s ice hockey careers.
His father Colin and uncle Jason Gregor also played in the WHL in their youth, laying the groundwork for future generations.
According to the Halifax Mooseheads, he has an unusual connection to Nova Scotia because his father played for the Acadia Axemen and won a National Championship.
Noah played junior hockey in the BMHA and AMHL before being picked 55th overall by the Victoria Royals in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. It’s the same squad that his father Colin played for back in the early 1990s.

Noah Gregor was raised in a hockey family by his parents, Elise and Colin Gregor. Colin Gregor, his father, played professional hockey for the WHL.
From the stands, the left-family winger’s frequently applauded for him. They were also present when he signed a deal with the San Jose Sharks following his first season in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Colin Gregor is a retired ice hockey left winger who spent four seasons in the WHL from 1987 to 1991. Later, from 1991 to 1993, he competed in the CIAU with the Acadia University squad.
Colin joined the Richmond Renegades of the ECHL in 1993 after playing under San Jose Barracuda coach Roy Sommer. In 1996, he finished his final ECHL season with the Birmingham Bulls.
According to Acadia Axemen Hockey, senior Gregor was a National Champion with Acadia and an Acadia University hockey honours list member in 2011.
Furthermore, in a podcast with The Axe Cast in 2021, former Hockey Axemen and Acadia Alumni Colin Gregor and Dennis Sproxton revisited the 1992-1993 U SPORTS (CIAU) National Championship season.
He Was The Second-Highest Scorer For The Cougars
Colin Gregor was the Cougars’ all-time leading scorer in 1990-91. Colin finished second to Gerry St. Cyr in scoring with 23 goals and 50 points.
Gregor later had more success at Acadia, winning the CIAU national university championship in 1993.
According to the Times Colonist, he spent three NHL camps with the Oilers and Flames before playing in the ECHL with the Richmond Renegades, Birmingham Bulls, and Hampton Roads Admirals.
Noah Gregor Has Family Roots In Ice Hockey
Noah Gregor comes from a hockey family, as both his father and uncle played professionally in the WHL. Colin trained Noah as a child, and he learnt all of his techniques from him.
Colin also reinforced the value of hard work and commitment to the sport. Liam Gregor, his oldest son and Noah’s sibling, also plays ice hockey with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL. He is a member of the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the Alberta Junior League.
According to The Times Colonist, he has also taught each of his sons that hockey is a marathon, not a sprint, and to focus on progressively developing.

Gregor was born on July 28, 1998, to parents Colin and Elise in Beaumont, Alberta. His father played four seasons in the Western Hockey League and his uncle is a radio personality for The Sports Network, therefore he was born into a hockey family.
Similarly, his brother Liam played for the Beaumont Chiefs and the Spruce Grove Saints.

Playing career
Gregor played in the Beaumont Minor Hockey Association and the Albert Midget Hockey League as a child in Beaumont, Alberta (AMHL).
In the 2013-14 season, Gregor led the AMHL with 21 goals and 30 points in 35 games with the Leduc Oil Kings Bantam. Gregor was taken 55th overall by the Victoria Royals in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft as a result of his play with the Oil Kings, the same organisation for which his father played. However, in January 2014, Gregor was traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for Travis Brown.
Gregor played four preseason games on the Warriors’ top line with Brayden Point and Jack Rodewald after joining the team. He had six points in his first eight regular-season games before injuring his collarbone and ending his season. Gregor spent two months recuperating and prepared to return, but after returning, he worsened the injury and missed the rest of the season to heal.
He returned to the Warriors for the 2015-16 season, scoring a goal in preseason action. Also, Gregor continued contributing at a comparable rate to his prior season as the regular season began. Gregor got a goal and three assists in a 7-4 victory over the Saskatoon Blades in November 2015. This trend continued throughout the season, as he swiftly moved into third place in rookie scoring with 20 goals and 43 points in 48 games. As a result, he was selected to play for Team Cherry in the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
Professional Career
Gregor concluded the season with 28 goals and 73 points, earning him the titles of Most Sportsmanlike Player and Rookie of the Year. He was also named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Year. Gregor also helped the Warriors qualify for the 2016 WHL Playoffs, scoring three goals and adding nine points in 15 games. Following his rookie season, the San Jose Sharks selected Gregor 111th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Following that, he attended the Sharks’ training camp before returning to the Warriors for the 2016-17 WHL season. Gregor was chosen an alternative captain with Tanner Jeannot and Josh Thrower after rejoining the team.
He was with the Warriors until December 2017, when he was released and assigned to the Victoria Royals. Gregor scored 14 goals and 22 assists in 30 games before to the trade, helping the Warriors maintain first position in the league.
He returned to the Royals and scored 29 points in 30 regular-season games and 12 points in 11 postseason games. Gregor was dealt to the Prince Albert Raiders in return for conditional compensation at the end of the 2017-18 season.
On April 6, 2018, he signed an entry-level contract with the Sharks and made his NHL debut on October 19, 2019, against the Buffalo Sabres. On September 13, 2021, he was re-signed by the Sharks. The Sharks re-signed him to a one-year contract on August 22, 2022.
