Morgan Nick (Disappearance Case): Did Billy Jack Lincks Kidnapped Morgan?

Billy Jack Lincks, a person who called Arkansas home, was a registered sexual offender who, beginning in 1992, had spent time both inside and outside of prison.1

Reports indicate that he had an unremarkable upbringing, and that his parents never observed anything out of the usual while he was growing up. This is despite the fact that not a great deal is known about his early life.

In addition, it is likely that readers will find it interesting to learn that in addition to serving as a soldier in the United States Army during the Second World War, Billy worked for an airline company in Dallas prior to making the decision to move back to the state in which he was born and raised.

Since then, he has avoided getting into any difficulty; nevertheless, in 1992, he was arrested and accused with sexual abuse of a minor.

Morgan Nick, who was six years old at the time, accompanied her mother, Colleen Nick, when they traveled to the Wofford baseball field in Alma, Arkansas, on June 9, 1995, to see a minor League baseball game.

During the course of the game, it was only natural for the youngster to experience increasing levels of boredom; hence, she was happy when her friends Jessica and Tye asked her to join them in the parking lot in order to collect fireflies.

Even though Colleen always maintained a tight eye on the children, she agreed to let Morgan go with her friends even though the other children insisted that they wouldn’t go very far.

This was because the children insisted that they wouldn’t be going very far.

Nevertheless, once the game was over, she became sidetracked for a short while, and when she finally looked up, she saw Jessica and Tye heading toward the stands, but she couldn’t find her daughter anywhere.

When Jessica and Tye were questioned about the incident, they revealed that Morgan was dumping her shoes behind Colleen’s car when a suspicious-looking man started talking to her.

Tye and Jessica both agreed that this was a very unsettling event. It was the last time anyone ever saw the child, who was six years old at the time, since she vanished not long after that and has not been seen since.

Billy Jack Lincks: Investigation By Police

As soon as the police became involved in the investigation, they spoke with the children and provided a detailed description of the presumed kidnapper. Based on the children’s accounts, the presumed abductor was a well-built male between 23 and 38 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, with salt and pepper hair.

In addition, the investigators obtained home cameras that were shot during the game and discovered that the suspect was operating a red pickup vehicle that departed the location shortly after Morgan was reported missing.

Since the commencement of the investigation, the police have considered a large number of people to be persons of interest. One of these people was Morgan’s father, Morris John Nick, who was eventually exonerated of any wrongdoing.

In addition to this, they were given thousands of leads and searched various homes, but neither of these efforts were fruitful because the majority of the leads led nowhere.

Because of this, even though Morgan’s family was completely cooperative throughout the investigation, the case did not move forward for a considerable amount of time, and the FBI eventually had to get involved to assist.

Before making public their belief that Billy Jack Lincks was responsible for Morgan Nick’s kidnapping, the detectives made sure to investigate each and every possible lead in November 2021. During their investigation of him, they discovered that in 1992, he had been charged with sexual abuse of a minor.

Yet, what seemed even more intriguing was how, just two months after Morgan went missing, Billy attempted to kidnap a young girl from Van Buren, Arkansas, who was eleven years old.

Remarkably, this area was just 8 miles away from the parking lot where Morgan vanished, and eyewitnesses in Van Buren swore that he was driving a red pickup truck at the time of his disappearance.

On top of that, one of Billy’s neighbors asserted that just two months before to the attempted kidnapping, he observed a camper shell on the red pickup truck that Billy was driving.

Nevertheless, this lead was never pursued in 1995, and because the suspect died in the year 2000, the FBI was unable to determine whether or not he was involved in the kidnapping of Morgan Nick.

Billy Jack Lincks: Pickup Truck

The interior of a red 1986 Chevrolet Scottsdale pickup truck was investigated by investigators from numerous law enforcement organizations, and evidence was obtained from within the vehicle.3

The records from the forensics lab indicate that blood was discovered on a portion of a seat located inside the truck. Hair samples were also obtained by the investigators from a variety of the things that were discovered. According to the report, the samples were stored away for use in further testing.

Connor Hagan, an FBI public affairs officer, was unable to tell 40/29 News whether or not the evidence that was collected from Lincks’ truck gave any more information regarding Nick or whether or not the evidence has been analyzed again more recently.

According to the court records from the incident that occurred in Van Buren, a neighbor who lived next door to Lincks in 1995 said to detectives at the time that he believed there was a camper shell on Lincks’ truck “a few months ago.”
