Michael Reese (Murder Case): Who Is Jeffrey Brown?

In 2013, Jeffrey David Brown was called to serve as the senior pastor of the Sardis Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.

It was there that he first met Cindy Reese, who served as the minister of music at the church, and it was then that he fell in love with her. Soon after that, despite the fact that both of them were married to other people at the time, they began having an affair with one another.

During this period, their families became good friends, and they began to socialize together, assist one another in times of need, babysit for one other, and other similar activities.

Despite this, Jeffrey and Cindy evidently planned for a future together, unbeknownst to their respective spouses, by combining their finances and signing their names on various asset documents. This was done in secret.

The truth is that Jeffrey and his wife filed for divorce not long after, and Cindy was there for him every step of the way, assisting him. However, she never once gave any indication that she would be leaving Michael on her own.

She did, however, express an interest in completely getting rid of him, stating on many occasions that she would either shoot him or poison him and plead insanity if she was ever charged with his murder.

According to Jeffrey, Cindy begged him to find someone to perform the dirty work for her, so he contacted two of his coworkers to help out, but they turned him down.

Cindy’s request was denied. After everything was said and done, the two lovers were taken into custody for the crime less than a month after Michael was killed.
