Darron Played Team Angela James At 2010
Darron Richardson competed in the Ontario Winter Games for Team Angela James from March 4-7, 2010. She began water skiing at the age of three and made her first bungee jump at the age of five.

Morgan Richardson, Luke’s younger daughter, played for the Canadian National Under 18 team in a three-game series against the United States in August 2011 during the 2011-12 season of the Canadian women’s national ice hockey team.
Morgan was also a member of the Canadian squad that won the gold medal in the 2012 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship. In the gold medal game, she had no points.
Richardson ended tied for fifth in Cornell history with 132 career games played, continuing her four-year streak of playing in every game. Despite usually playing on the top defensive pair, she remained a dependable stay-at-home defenseman.
She provided the Big Red’s first goal of the season, which occurred against Boston College, and finished the season with two assists and 43 blocked shots.

Sports Career of Luke Richardson
Richardson was selected seventh overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft after spending two seasons with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). On January 6, 1988, in the middle of his rookie NHL season, Minnesota North Stars star Dino Ciccarelli memorably attacked Richardson by repeatedly beating him over the head with his stick. Ciccarelli was sentenced to one day in jail and a $1,000 fine after being found guilty of assault. The assault had no effect on Richardson’s performance. He was a regular on the Toronto blue line until 1991, when he was dealt to the Edmonton Oilers for Grant Fuhr, Glen Anderson, and Craig Berube, as well as Vincent Damphousse, Scott Thornton, Peter Ing, future considerations, and cash.
Despite not scoring many points, Richardson had a reputation as a belligerent, at-home blueliner. He was consistent in that regard throughout his stint with the Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Columbus Blue Jackets. Coaching Career of Luke Richardson
Richardson began his coaching career as an assistant coach to Ottawa Senators head coach Cory Clouston during the 2009-10 season. During Clouston’s two seasons in charge, the Senators struggled to establish themselves as playoff contenders, suffering setbacks caused by injuries, shifts from the Senators’ traditional defensive approach to an unsuccessful offensive play style, and poor communication between Clouston and the Senators roster.
Clouston was fired by general manager Bryan Murray during Richardson’s second season. Richardson then served as an assistant coach under new head coach Paul MacLean throughout the team’s 2011-12 season. During his three seasons as head coach, the Ottawa Senators went 117-103-26. They made the Stanley Cup playoffs twice but never advanced past the first round, losing in six games to the Pittsburgh Penguins and by one game to the New York Rangers.
