Kirby Dach’s Parents Dale And Hilary Dach Surprised Him During The Draft
Kirby Dach was surprised by his parents, Dale and Hilary Dach, during his NHL debut game.
They drove all night to see the game and show their love and support for him. His sister Callie joined the household to support her older brother.
He is the family’s eldest son, born on January 21, 2001, in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. As role models for his siblings, his brother Kirby and sister Callie both play ice hockey.
Dale previously stated in the Saskatoonblades that Kirby began skating immediately after taking his first steps, demonstrating his potential early on. Dach grew up in the Fort Saskatchewan Minor Hockey programme, frequently competing and playing against children two to three years his junior; despite this, Dach stood out.
Kirby’s Father Dale Dach Played Hockey For A Brief Time
Dale Dach, the proud father of Kirby, the Montreal Canadiens’ ice hockey centre, is a former hockey player. He spent two seasons playing the beautiful game.
According to hockeydb, he played for the Fort Saskatchewan Traders in 1987-88 and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1990-91.
Dale has been one of the most important people in Kirby and Colton’s careers. Despite the fact that Colton is a Hawks prospect and Kirby is in his fourth season with the Blackhawks, their father, Dale, recalls their mishaps as little children on a frozen lake.
When his three sons were old enough to skate, their father saw their outstanding talent for hockey. But he didn’t want his mind to run wild.
Dale struggles from time to time to accept the truth of what they’ve become. Kirby and Colton perceive a tiny rise in normalcy, but it is he who ought to be acknowledged.
Kirby credited his father for his success, stating that if he had not been Dale’s son, he would not have been the same person.
Kirby’s father, according to the Saskatoon Blades, remarked, “I know every kid says this, but it’s something Kirby has wanted since he was a baby. His objective and dream have not altered; he has not strayed from them.” was questioned about his son’s debut.
Kirby Dach Mother Hilary Dach Does Water Skiing
Hilary Dach is the mother of NHL centre Kirby Dach and Dale’s wonderful partner.
She is pleased of her three children, one daughter and two sons, who have all chosen ice hockey as a vocation. The mother of three is constantly there at her children’s games and important professional events.
Similarly, Kirby frequently posts on Instagram to express his gratitude to his mother, and one such post features a photo of him excitedly sharing the success of her trip.
Furthermore, Dailyfaceoff discovered an unusual information about Hillary, stating that she is an avid water skier who has passed on her hobby to Kirby. As a result, he enjoys water skiing whenever he has the opportunity.
She was always present for the most memorable events of Kirby, Colton, and Callie’s careers, demonstrating her devotion for the kids.
Kirby’s mother, Hilary, told the Saskatoon Blades, “Our main goal in life has been for our children to be content and to appreciate what they do.” We are thrilled with him because he enjoys the game of hockey.”
Kirby Dach Brother Colton Dach Is A Center For NHL Team Chicago Blackhawks
Colton Dach, Dale and Hilary’s youngest son, has followed in the footsteps of his renowned brother, Kirby.
According to ncbsports, Colton was picked as the 62nd overall pick at the Center position by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft.
“Kind of out for words right now,” Colton wrote on his draught.
When I heard my name, I stood up and glanced at my mother, who was almost in tears. As a result, it means a lot to them.”
The Saskatoon Blades have announced the signing of Colton Dach, a 2003 forward. In the most recent WHL Bantam Draft, the Blades selected the 15-year-old kid from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, with the sixth overall pick. Colton spent the previous season with the Canadian Sport School Bantam Hockey League’s OHA Edmonton.
Dach stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 196 pounds as a left-handed power forward. In the NHL’s Central Scouting Rankings, he was placed No. 19 among North American skaters.
The pick comes just one day after the Blackhawks signed Caleb and Seth Jones within two weeks of each other, bringing the Jones brothers together in Chicago.

He Played Ice Hockey Since Childhood
The brothers’ early memories of hockey were from frozen lakes near the Dachs’ rural cottage in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, just northwest of Edmonton.
Kirby first had such memories at the lake when he was five years old. His first NHL memory was of the Oilers’ run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2006, when he was the same age.
Dale’s preparation work was the only reason the ice and lake could be used.
Dale grew up in Edmonton, played college and second-tier junior hockey, and was an avid Oilers fan. Kirby and Colton would argue over who would accompany their father to Rexall Place before every home game.
The Dach Brothers Competitive And Loving Sibling Rivalry
Kirby and Colton’s love of ice hockey, as well as their sibling rivalry, is well known in the Dach family.
“When Kirby accomplishes something, I want to go do the same thing and do it better,” Colton told Chicago.suntimes.com, leading to professional explosions when they were still teenagers.
Kirby was taken by the Hawks in the third round of the 2019 draught in an instant. Similarly, Colton’s draught eligibility altered in a flash in 2021.
The Dachs was overjoyed to find that the Hawks had also selected him. Kirby ambushed Colton when he was on a Zoom call with reporters with a priceless grin on his face.
