According to ncbsports, Colton was picked as the 62nd overall pick at the Center position by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft.

The brothers’ early memories of hockey were from frozen lakes near the Dachs’ rural cottage in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, just northwest of Edmonton.

Kirby first had such memories at the lake when he was five years old. His first NHL memory was of the Oilers’ run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2006, when he was the same age.
