It was at Montverde Academy, however, where he truly flourished, playing under the guidance of renowned coach Kevin Boyle.

Hood-Schifino’s prep career started at Northside Christian Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a freshman, he made a significant impact, averaging 13.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. His standout performance caught the attention of Combine Academy, where he transferred to in his sophomore year.

He also helped Montverde win back-to-back GEICO High School Basketball National titles in 2021 and 2022, solidifying his status as one of the top high school basketball players in the country.
