Terry Bollea was born on August 11, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, USA, to construction worker Pietro ‘Peter’ Bollea and homemaker and dance teacher Ruth V. Bollea.2
When he was one and a half years old, his family relocated to Tampa, Florida. He was interested in sports as a child and even participated in Little League Baseball as a pitcher.
Despite being courted by organizations such as the New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds, an injury cut short his baseball career.

Hulk was seen by wrestling brothers Jack and Gerald Brisco during one of their performances.
They were delighted with his physique and hired wrestler trainer Hiro Matsuda to coach him. Hogan eventually agreed to enter wrestling when the two brothers approached him in 1976.

In 1996, Hogan stunned everyone by making a spectacular comeback to the wrestling ring.3

- Hogan fought Brian Blair on August 10, 1977, after training for a year with Matsuda. When things with Matsuda didn’t work out, he left him and CWF.

- Hogan won his third ‘WWF Championship’ when he pinned Sgt Slaughter at ‘WrestleMania VII’ in 1991. However, at the ‘Survivor Series,’ he lost the title to The Undertaker. After only six days, Hogan regained control, but the title was declared vacant owing to Rick Flair’s involvement.
- He won his fourth ‘WCW Heavyweight Championship’ in 1998, defeating Savage in a much-interrupted ‘no disqualification match,’ but lost it later that year against Goldberg.
- In 1999, he defeated Kevin Nash for his sixth ‘WCW Heavyweight Championship’. ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair defeated him in a ‘Steel Cage First Blood Match’ at ‘WCW Uncensored’ the following year to win the title. He won his final ‘WCW Heavyweight Championship’ in 1999, defeating Savage.
- In 2002, he returned to the WWF for the ‘No Way Out’ event. At ‘Backlash,’ he won his sixth ‘WWF Championship,’ which he lost to The Undertaker at ‘Judgment Day.’
