Eligibility for HPSC Assistant Engineer

The minimum age for the HPSC Assistant engineer paper is 21 years and the maximum age is 42 years. For the backward classes, there is an upper age relaxation of 3 years and the same limit is for EBP (GEN.) and for unmarried women of Haryana. If anyone is a physically disabled candidate, in that case, there is an age limit of 10 years for schedu7led castes/ backward casts. There 55% marks or equivalent grade B is needed with knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard.

Exam Pattern for HPSC Assistant Engineer

This HPSC Assistant engineer paper is of two rounds, out of which one contain multiple choice questions and another round contains conventional questions both the rounds their own marks pattern and both the rounds are compulsory. General English and general studies, both are one subject and if we talk about the part I of this paper then it contains technical subject paper I and technical paper II but both subjects are for the part I.If we talk about marking scheme each of these subjects contains 200 marks and for each subject, the time limit is of 2 hours each. In paper II the subjects are the technical paper I and technical paper II. Like first paper, marking scheme is same that is 200 for each paper but the time is 3 hour for each.

Technical subject contains civil engineer/ Electrical engineer/ Mechanical engineer.

The subject selection for the HPSC Assistant engineer paper is decided on the time of filling application forms for the exam.

125 marks are carried by viva voice.
