1. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (abbreviated IIT Delhi or IITD) is a public engineering institution located in Hauz Khas, Delhi, India. The college was established in 1961, with a vision to contribute to India and the world through excellence in scientific and technical education and research. Also, to serve as a valuable resource for industry and society and to remain a source of pride for all Indians. It was formally inaugurated August 1961 by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Minister of Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs.The First admissions were made in 1961.

Academics

IIT Delhi offers various degree programs. Namely, the Bachelor of Technology programs as well as dual degree B.Tech-cum-M.Tech programs. The admission to these programs is done through Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced. Second is the postgraduate programs awarding M.Tech (by coursework), M.S. (by research), M.Sc., M. Des., MBA under various departments and centers. The admission to M.Tech and M.Des programs are carried out mainly based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Student Activity Center

SAC or The  Student Activity Center at IIT Delhi is a part of Student Recreation Zone. This center organizes various extracurricular activities of the students like various sports and quizzing and debating events. The sports include spaces for a gymnasium, swimming pool, a badminton court, pool and billiards rooms, squash courts, table tennis rooms, a music room, a fine arts room, and a robotics room. It also has an Open Air Theatre where concerts are hosted. The radio broadcasting facility (HAM) can be used by students.

 2. Delhi Technological University

DTU or Delhi Technological University is formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering. This is an engineering university located in New Delhi, India. The oldest college of Engineering and Delhi first engineering college is the DTU. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic and was under the control of the Government of India. Renaming of college to Delhi Technological University and upgraded to a state university in July 2009 from Delhi College of Engineering.

A controversy took place with the students boycotting the mid-semester exams and demanding reconsideration of the change and replacement of the VC. The move from Delhi College of Engineering to DTU was met with student protests over the erosion of the DCE brand which culminated in a face-off in March 2010. Though, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit informed the students that the change will not be reconsidered. And by the end of March, the protest dwindled down, with the students taking their exams.

It was until 1989 that Delhi Technological University (Delhi College of Engineering) operated from the Kashmiri Gate campus in the heart of Old Delhi. The operation was moved from Kashmiri Gate to the new 164 acres campus at Bawana Road began in 1995, and the new campus formally started classes for all four years of study starting 1999.

The new lush green campus is well connected by road. Facilities include a library, a computer center, a sports complex, eight boys’ hostels, six girls’ hostels, and a married couples’ hostel. The campus has residential facilities for faculty and staff. The campus has an auditorium and an open-air theater. An additional campus of DTU is in Vivek Vihar, East Delhi offering non-engineering courses. Currently, the east campus of DTU offers courses in MBA, BBA, and BA in Economics.

Academics

The courses offered at Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) with contains fourteen academic departments with a strong emphasis on scientific and technological education and research. First, for a full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree in DTU admission is through the Joint Admission Counselling Delhi (JAC-Delhi). This is done together with Indira Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. Foreign students are admitted through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme. They also have lateral entry admission and evening studies programme.

Second, the admission towards a postgraduate degree is based on performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) qualifying exam. Nevertheless, if two or more candidates have the same GATE score, the percentage in qualifying undergraduate course shall decide the merit. No separate test or interview is conducted by the university. However, for the NRIs, Foreign Nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) the admission is made on the basis of merit/score in Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The medium of instruction for all the courses at the university is English. Third, the admissions in MBA program are based on Common Admission Test (CAT) exam, followed by a group discussion and an interview

Along with the academic, students participate in projects such as design and development of a Formula SAE car, SAE Mini Baja, ASME HPV, Hybrid Car, solar car, unmanned aerial vehicles, innovative embedded devices appreciated worldwide and set up a plant for manufacturing Biodiesel.

                                3. Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology

Formerly known as the Delhi Institute of Technology, The Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) is a top Government Engineering College in Delhi. This Government engineering college is located in Dwarka, New Delhi, India and was established in 1983. NSIT is an autonomous institution of the Government of Delhi. NSIT is the only government engineering college under the University of Delhi after Delhi Technological University was changed from Delhi College of Engineering.

Campus

NSIT offers a fully residential campus with various facilities. Namely, facilities include faculty and staff residences, student hostels, cooperative mess and a sports complex. The vast expanse of flora and fauna spread over the campus is a prominent feature. The campus is divided into clusters of buildings. 4. Indira Gandhi Technical University for Women

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) is a women’s university located in New Delhi, India on the heritage campus of Delhi College of Engineering. It was founded as the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology in 1998 and was the only constituent college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. In May 2013 it gained autonomy and became the first women’s technical university in India established by Govt. of Delhi.

The university has four branches of engineering, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical, and Automation Engineering, Information Technology and Architecture and Planning. Recently, Bachelors in Architecture and planning has been started as a new course.

Courses and admissions
The university offers undergraduate Bachelor of Technology courses in four different fields, namely Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical and Automation Engineering. It also offers undergraduate Bachelor Of Architecture course. 5. Ch. B.P. Government Engineering College

Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Government Engineering College (CBPGEC) is a premier government engineering institute located in Delhi, India. It was established by the Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi in 2007 and was named after the first Chief Minister of Delhi, Chaudhary Brahm Prakash. The aim of the Government of NCT of Delhi is to develop this college as a center of excellence in Civil engineering and Environmental engineering.

The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, a state university established by the Government of NCT of Delhi. The institute is amongst the only four government institutes (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Delhi Technological University, Jamia Millia Islamia) in Delhi which offer Civil engineering. It is the only college in Delhi after Delhi technological university to provide Btech in environmental engineering.

Festivals

Prarambh was the first version of the annual cultural fest of GEC Delhi and Exuberance ’10 was the second version. Since 2012, the annual cultural fest has been organised under the name of PRO-GEC-TION. Since 2013, Footprints is the name of the convocation day.

The college publishes a quarterly newsletter called Expedition which provides a common platform to students, faculty and staff for sharing the experiences, ideas and information about academic events, cultural and sports activities. The first issue of the newsletter was released in March 2010.

All this is now looked after by the college’s first cultural and sports committee named Renaissance.

6. Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College

Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology (or GBPEIT) (formerly known as Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College before August 2017) is an autonomous institution for higher technical education located in Ghudauri of Pauri Garhwal district, in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. College run by the government of Uttarakhand, India. It was created in 1989 and named after the memory of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, statesman and Bharat Ratna recipient Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. The institute is located in the Garhwal Himalayas, at a height of 1800 m (7000 ft.) above sea level, spread over 169 acres (0.68 km2). The college has a quiet, congenial, hilly and pollution-free environment. Summer is pleasant with a maximum of 30 °C for a few weeks (around two months in a year), and for rest of the time (around ten months in the year) the weather remains cool.

Pride of the institute is large volumes (over 40000) of books in the areas of Engineering, Applied sciences, Humanity and Management, and ancillary areas from various Indian and foreign publications. The library is a hub around which all academic activities of the institute revolve. The College offers postgraduate programmes M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications), M.Tech programmes in Biotechnology, Digital Signal Processing, Computer Science and Engineering, and Production Engineering.

The Institute offers doctorate degrees Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Applications, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering and Production Engineering

Admission for undergraduate programs is made through the entrance examination Joint Entrance Examination(JEE)(Main) which is conducted by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) at all India Level. 85% of seats are reserved for candidates who are domiciles of Uttarakhand. The diploma Holders/ B.sc(Mathematics) candidates may also take admission through LATERAL ENTRY ENTRANCE TEST (LEET), Conducted every year by Uttarakhand technical university Dehradun. Admissions for the postgraduate programs are done at the college level from GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) qualified candidates, and remaining seats, if any, on merit basis. All the admission is based on Quota System Strictly as per GOI rules.

7. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (Iṃdraprastha Sūcanā Praudyōgikī Saṃsthān Dillī, IIIT-D) is an autonomous university in Delhi, India.[1] It is a research-oriented university with a focus on Computer Science and Electronics.

The institute began with its first batch of 60 BTech students in 2008. This first batch graduated in 2012 – the first Convocation took place in November 2012. By that time, the institute has attracted nearly 30 faculty members, and its academic program consisted of B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs in CSE and ECE. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi, inaugurated the campus in October 2012.

8. Jamia Millia Islamia Faculty of Engineering and Technology

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMIFET) was established in 1985 in New Delhi, India to provide engineering education. All courses of the Faculty are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, and the medium of instruction is English. The faculty is located at Jamia Nagar, Okhla. The University cricket ground (Bhopal Ground) is the best by university standards in the country and has played host to many Ranji trophy cricket matches apart from hosting many matches including the semi-finals and the finals of the recently concluded university cricket championships.

The Sports Complex also has Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Football and Rugby Courts(it was the official practice venue for Rugby in the Commonwealth Games 2010) besides indoor facilities for Table Tennis and Badminton apart from a Synthetic Athletics track.The Complex also has a generously equipped gymnasium for students.

Admissions to the Bachelor of Technology Programme are based on the performance in the JEE examination conducted by the CBSE with effect from 2016.
