Robyn Wilson and Gary Wilson got married royally in Auchen Castle in May. Gary and Robyn had been together for nine years.
Robyn posted a snapshot of the couple together on her Instagram account in 2013. It was also the year Gary’s professional title was reinstated after he left the sport in 2006.
Lady luck has been on Gary’s side since then, as the man who decided to work as a taxi driver revitalised his snooker career with his companion encouraging him on his climb to the top.

Unlike her partner, Robyn posted several photos from their wedding ceremony to her Instagram account. She may be reached at @robynmac23 and has provided her fans with a detailed schedule of their wedding ceremony.
They have plenty of time to plan the wedding because she chose her wedding gown in 2020. However, their wedding was postponed owing to the epidemic. Brides Dream Ltd, a dress company in their hometown of Newcastle, was chosen to dress her on her big day.
Robyn then posted a snapshot of an adorable little girl who was the flower girl at her wedding in December. This obviously hinted to her followers that the wedding was approaching.
Robyn walked down the aisle five months later to be greeted by her partner, who gazed in astonishment as they tied the knot nine years after their first encounter.
But would it have been a snooker player’s wedding if he hadn’t been taking pictures at the snooker table? The couple took photos next to the snooker table, with their family members joining in on the festivities.
Later in the evening, the snooker player and his bride shared a leisurely dance. Mrs. Wilson shared the video on her social media account, and it was met with congratulations from Gary’s admirers and close friends.
The newlywed couple returned to Scotland for the Scottish Open nine months after their wedding ceremony. Gary made certain not to let his wife down by winning his first-ever ranking title on December 4.

His Snooker Skills Are On Par With Gary
Robyn Wilson has defeated her husband Gary Wilson at snooker and enjoys the game as much as her spouse.
The Newcastle native shared her joy on her Twitter account.
The photo was taken in 2013, the year the pair joined Instagram. Robyn posted a photo of her future spouse, who was doing his best pirate impersonation. Looking at the photo, he clearly did not succeed.
Gary proposed to Robyn six years later, indicating that the couple took their time getting to know each other. Gary detailed his proposal in a 2019 interview with Metro.
In Hawaii, the snooker player proposed to the love of his life. Gary’s proposal was just as dramatic as their wedding ceremony. He proposed to Robyn while they were sailing across the Pacific with their families.
Robyn later shared the photo on Instagram, showing off her engagement ring with a beaming Gary by her side.
Following their romantic proposal in Hawaii, the couple travelled to Los Angeles, where Gary claims they were hit by two massive jolts. However, he stated that he was more excited than scared because earthquakes are not common in his hometown of Newcastle.
The couple has yet to become parents, but Robyn has already demonstrated that she has the potential to be an excellent mother. Her parenting abilities can be seen on her social media handle, where she is seen caring for her nephew.

Gary began playing snooker at the age of three. When he was eight years old, he entered a local league with a team, but several teams refused to let a child play. Then he won BBC snooker show Junior Big Break: Stars of the Future, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan and Jimmy White. After winning the UK Under-18 competition three times, he was named the country’s most promising junior player.
The 34-year-old then made his European U-19 Championship debut in Latvia in 2003. Since then, he has competed in the WUXI Classic, the 2013 International Championship, and has even qualified for the 2014 World Snooker Championship.
Despite the fact that 2015 was a difficult year for him, it equipped him with new strategies for overcoming his failure. The next year, he qualified for the China Open by defeating Graeme Dott 5-3 and losing to Shaun Murphy 5-1.
He qualified for the 2017 World Championship the same year and performed admirably, holding eight centuries in three matches. He also won the inaugural World Championship of 2019 by defeating Luca Brecel in the longest Crucible match in history, 10-9.

Timeline
2019
Wilson overcame Luca Brecel, Mark Selby, and Ali Carter in the 2019 Snooker World Championship semi-finals before falling 17-11 to eventual winner Judd Trump.
2017
Wilson qualified successfully for the 2017 World Championship. He won 10-9. Also, he made a 147 in the fourth frame against Josh Boileau. He defeated Peter Lines 10-7 and Michael White 10-3 in the second qualifying round.
In his three encounters, he scored eight hundreds, more than any other player. Qualifying was more important to him than reaching the China Open final. On his maiden appearance in the event, he faced Ronnie O’Sullivan and rebounded from 5-1 down to 5-4 after the first session.
He trailed 9-5 before winning two frames in a row, but O’Sullivan then won the frame he needed to advance 10-7. During the match, Wilson made two century breaks.
2015
Wilson was unable to build on his success from the previous year during the 2015-16 season. He failed to qualify for the first three ranking events. He overcame Martin O’Donnell 6-3 in the first round of the UK Championship before falling to Martin Gould 6-4 in the second round.
Wilson advanced to the same stage of the Welsh Open, but was defeated 4-1 by Liang Wenbo. He qualified for the China Open but was defeated 5-3 in the first round by Stephen Maguire.
2014
Wilson qualified for the 2014 Wuxi Classic, the season’s first ranking tournament, where he lost in the first round 5-3 against Alan McManus. He failed to advance beyond the last 64 stages of any tournament in the first half of the season, unable to recoup his momentum from last year. Wilson’s breakthrough came in February, when he defeated Zhang Anda, John Astley, and Joe Perry at the Welsh Open.
He subsequently defeated Neil Robertson 4-2 to reach his first major quarter-final, noting afterwards that he had demonstrated his ability to handle big moments. Wilson led Ben Woollaston 2-1 early on, but lost four frames in a row to lose 5-2. Wilson was defeated 4-3 by Adam Duffy in the first round of the Indian Open.
2013
Wilson finished 48th in the Irish Masters and 64th in the China Open in his rookie season. These results were more than enough to keep him on the road for another year. Wilson reached the last 64 stage of the events twice the next season, but the remainder of his outings were disappointing, and he dropped off the tour after losing to James Tatton in World Championship qualifying.
Wilson stated in 2013: “When you look at the standings at the end, it was just by one match, and I was devastated. The issue is, and this is not an excuse, the game was not nearly as popular at the time. It was going through a hard stretch, with only six tournaments in total, as opposed to now, when there are 20-25 tournaments per season. It meant that if you had two terrible tournaments and weren’t doing particularly well, you didn’t have much time to recover. It’s a whole different story now.”
2011
Wilson came close to winning a tour card again once the Q School was introduced, reaching the fourth round twice in 2011 and once in 2012. He also competed in the 2012 IBSF World Championship in Bulgaria, finishing first in the English amateur ranks. He made it to the final but was defeated 8-10 by Muhammad Asif.
Wilson competed in a number of PTC events during the 2011-12 season, defeating players such as Peter Ebdon and Marco Fu and reaching the last 32 twice. The following season was even better, as he performed consistently and reached the last 16 of the Scottish Open, finishing third among amateur players on the Order of Merit and regaining his tour spot after seven years. “I knew if I got very far in the last event, I’d be able to turn professional off that,” Wilson explained, “so missing the world amateur final did not stop my goals.”
2003
Wilson earned his international debut at the European U-19 Championship in Latvia in 2003. He began his professional career the same year by competing on the Challenge Tour, the second-level professional tour at the time, and won the fourth tournament in 2004 to finish fourth in the rankings and clinch his spot on the main tour for the 2004-05 season. Wilson’s most notable achievement that year was winning the World Under-21 Snooker Championship in Ireland.
He advanced to the final after winning all seven of his round robin matches, conceding only two frames along the way, defeating the likes of Pankaj Advani, Aditya Mehta, and Liang Wenbo. Wilson defeated Kobkit Palajin in the final, 11-5, with peak breaks of 142 and 135.
