Arsenal revealed on December 6 that the striker had surgery on his right knee and will immediately begin his recovery programme.
The club has not stated how long he will be out, but according to recent sources, Jesus might be gone for up to three months as he recovers from surgery.

Gabriel Jesus Goals For Arsenal
Over the summer, Arsenal paid Premier League champions Manchester City £45 million to sign Jesus.
He has now scored five goals in 20 games, but he has developed as an important member of Mikel Arteta’s attack due to contributions other than his goal total.

Childhood and Family Background
To begin his biography, Gabriel Fernando de Jesus was born on April 3, 1997 in Sao Paulo, Brazil to Vera Lcia Jesus (Mother) and Diniz de Jesus (Father). Jesus was born as the fourth child in a family of four (3 boys and a girl).
Being the last kid and baby of the family does have its advantages. Gabriel’s motivation was totally different. His mother instilled discipline while still allowing him to hustle on the streets.
He grew raised in the Jardim Peri neighbourhood of Sao Paulo’s northern outskirts. Gabriel Jesus was reared on the streets, unlike many footballers (such as Marcus Rashford), who were raised more by their parents.
He created a career out of street football. Gabriel was used to playing Central Midfield as a small youngster of 5 years old, rather than attacking.
He, like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, was renowned as a speed demon as a child. After the 2002 World Cup, he transitioned to full-fledged offensive.
This watershed moment occurred once he discovered and adjusted to his World Cup idol, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima.
This transition point coincided with his becoming more serious about football. It represents joining a football academy, as shown below.
Early Life
Jesus was born in So Paulo and grew up in the district of Jardimperi. After initially playing street football, he joined amateur clubs in the region, his last club being the Asociacao Atletica Anhanguera.
On July 1, 2013, Jesus signed a youth covenant with Palmeiras. He was also the club’s highest scorer throughout the year, scoring 54 goals in 48 games. In January 2014, after lengthy negotiations, Jesus signed an additional two- to three-year contract with Palmeiras, and in the fifth year, his salary quadrupled from 15,000 rupees.
His contract has increased the price to buy him tenfold to R$30 million. However, the deal changed the balance of their economic rights from 75–25% in favor of the agents in Palmeiras to 70–30%.

Career Life
After playing for several youth teams (some with cool names like Little Kids of the Environment).
He caught the eye of some of the region’s biggest clubs after scoring 29 goals in a local under-15 tournament for amateur team Anhanguera Associacao Paulista. The club ID card is shown below.
More advancement earned him the opportunity to play for the famed Palmeiras football club’s youth team.
Even at the age of 15, Gabriel had an agent who set up a trial with Palmeiras, one of Brazil’s most historic clubs.
Only a year later, fans were clamouring for him to be promoted to the senior team. This is because he was so talented at such a young age.
Palmeiras’ senior team was on the verge of relegation from Brazil’s top division at the time. Gabriel Jesus led them straight up the log, eventually capturing the league title for the club.
Gabriel showed brightest on the season’s bittersweet final day. His accomplishment at the youthful age of 18 drew the attention of scouts from all across the world. Gabriel remained unaffected by the buzzing surrounding him.
He continued to score goals and never looked back. He quickly established himself as one of Palmeiras’ most important players in history, as well as the next Brazilian to land a lucrative move to Europe. Thanks to Manchester City, this has finally happened. The rest, as they say, is history.
