On Monday, a statement to this effect was issued by the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC).

The Adviser on Media, Communications, and Public Affairs for the APC PCC, Dele Alake, has called for the arrest of Dele Momodu, who is a member of the PDP.

In addition to Melaye, the council has requested that Dele Momodu be apprehended by the relevant security authorities.

To give you an example, Melaye and Momodu are the spokespersons for the Peoples Democratic Party, which is the opposition party.

In addition, the council has asked the Department of State Services to invite Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church, for his “inciting sermon” that took place at the service on the previous Sunday.

Alake said that the three individuals had interfered with the election process and incited violence through threats and hate speech. He also claimed that they had incited violence.

In addition, Alake delivered a speech at a media conference hosted by the APC, where he voiced confidence that the party will win the presidential election in 2023.

He is requesting that the results from the polling units be uploaded on the website of INEC so that they can be compared with the results that have been submitted by the collation officers of the state.

Following the action done by Melaye, INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu attempted to calm him down by saying, “Dino, you are now purposely being obstructive.” Melaye’s action was the catalyst for Yakubu’s words.

Dino Melaye: Career

The politician attended Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, for his education in Geography. After completing his education, he initially pursued a career in the private sector for a number of years before moving into political life.1

From 2015 until 2019, Melaye served as a senator for Nigeria’s Kogi West Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the country’s legislature.

Before being elected to the Senate, he served in the House of Representatives from 2007 until 2011, during which time he was the representative for the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

Melaye was initially elected to the House of Representatives in Nigeria in 2007, and he was subsequently re-elected to the same position in 2011.

She filed for divorce in 2013 due to domestic abuse, stating that Melaye had physically abused her and had even held a pistol at her. Regrettably, this led to the breakup of the couple, as she claimed that Melaye had even brandished a gun at her.

Shortly after Tokunbo finalised their divorce, a well-known Yoruba actress working in Nollywood by the name of Bisi Ibidapo-Obe revealed that she is pregnant with Dino Melaye’s child. Ibidapo-Obe is renowned primarily for her roles in Yoruba films.

Also within the same year (2013), he became acquainted with Alero Falope, a captivating woman who was a single mother and who was apparently the niece of the well-known Daisy Danjuma. Alero Falope was said to be the niece of the popular Daisy Danjuma.

Dino and his ex-wife are the parents of three children. Melaye is known to have fathered children with other women, including one child with the Nigerian actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe and another child with Alero Falope, who is said to be a housemaid at the politician’s home.

Melaye first became involved in partisan politics in 2007, when he was elected to represent the Kabba/Ijumu federal constituency for the People’s Democratic Party in the National House of Representatives.

In the previous election, he was a candidate for reelection to the National Assembly as a member of the House of Representatives; however, in the subsequent election, he was a candidate for reelection to the Senate to represent Kogi West.

Dino Melaye: Political Career

In 2015, he was a significant contributor to Senator Bukola Saraki’s successful campaign for the presidency of the Senate.3

During his time as a senator, Melaye presided over the Abuja office of the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He also served as the chair of the Senate Committee on Aviation before departing the prestigious house of representatives.

In 2019, Dino was successful in winning re-election to the Senate. Nevertheless, later on an order issued by the court invalidated his election, which meant that he had to run for office again.

Dino, on the other hand, was not successful in keeping his seat in the red chamber, as Senator Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was declared the victor after the repeat election.
