Cris Cyborg, a Brazilian-American MMA fighter, was born in Curitiba, Brazil. Her parents, Junrandir Justino and Cersima Gorete de Morais, raised her and her brother Rafael Justino. Unfortunately, her parents were divorced, and her father was a heavy drinker.

Ray Elbe was born on the 9th of December, 1982. He enrolled at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, and began training in Mixed Martial Arts. He was more committed to MMA, maintained his training with dedication, and eventually became a successful professional athlete.
Ray had an MMA professional record of 23-11. During his career, he competed in the welterweight division for several organisations. He was earned the third stripe in Jiu-Jitsu Blackbelt under Prado of Brazilian Top Team Orange County, CA.
He declared his retirement from professional fighting in 2010 owing to injuries, primarily to his knee. He’d been fighting for a decade. Before retiring, he enjoyed a six-fight winning streak, including three round-one victories.

Rafael Justino holds a Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is well-versed in Chute Boxe Muay Thau and BJJ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Cris Cyborg’s brother, Cris Cyborg, won his first international fight against David Parreno in the main event of the Peru Extremo-International Peru Fighting Championship event at the age of 35. Rafael now has a record of two wins, one loss, and one contest after his triumph in Peru.

Childhood and Adolescence
Cristiane Justino Venâncio was born in Curitiba, Brazil, on July 9, 1985, to Jurandir Justino and Cersima Gorete de Morais. Rafael, her brother, is also a student at Chute Boxe Academy.
She began playing handball when she was nine years old, sometimes even with the male squad, and later joined her school’s handball team. According to her mother, as a child, she was very peaceful and never remained out late to party.
Rudimar Fedrigo, the founder and head coach of Chute Boxe Academy, noticed her playing in a high school handball championship game in 2004 and offered her a card to visit his gym. While she was first apprehensive, Fedrigo, who was intrigued by her power and athleticism, pushed her to pursue a career as an MMA fighter.
Career
Cris Cyborg began her MMA career on May 17, 2005, when she was defeated by Erica Paes through knee-bar submission in the first round at the Show Fight 2 promotion in Brazil. On November 20, 2005, she defeated Vanessa Porto at Storm Samurai 9, and she went on to win three successive first-round matches the following year.
She faced Edna Gloria in her maiden Muay Thai event on October 21, 2006, at Estimulo de Muay Thai in Curitiba, Paraná, which she won through KO 1:30 minutes into the game. She took a two-year sabbatical from professional fighting after her MMA fight in November 2006.
On July 26, 2008, she restarted her MMA career in a Catchweight bout at EliteXC: Unfinished Business in Stockton, California, defeating Shayna Baszler by TKO in the second round. On October 4, 2008, at EliteXC: Heat, she faced Yoko Takahashi and won by unanimous decision in the third round.
Her fight with Dutch submission expert Marloes Coenen at XMMA 7 was cancelled in early 2009 as Elite XC went out of business, instead she signed with Strikeforce, which had acquired Elite XC. Despite being overweight for her Strikeforce debut against Hitomi Akano at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz on April 11, 2009, she entered the fight with her opponent’s agreement and won through third round TKO.
On August 15, 2009, she challenged Gina Carano for the inaugural Women’s Featherweight Championship at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg, the first major MMA event headlined by women, in San Jose, California. She won the fight by TKO with one second remaining in the first round and declared afterward that she was honoured to fight Carano.
Her maiden championship defence against Marloes Coenen was postponed due to Cyborg’s injury and rescheduled for January 30, 2010 at Strikeforce: Miami. She successfully defended her championship by TKOing her opponent at 3:40 of round 3.
Erin Toughill, Cris Cyborg’s next potential challenger, departed Strikeforce before the fight could take place, forcing her to face Jan Finney at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum on June 26, 2010, which she won via TKO. On August 25, 2011, she renewed her contract with Strikeforce.
On December 17, 2011, she faced Hiroko Yamanaka at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal and won via TKO 16 seconds into the first round, earning her the moniker “the Mike Tyson of female MMA.” However, once CSAC reported that she had tested positive for illegal stanizol metalobites in January 2012, the result was cancelled, she was stripped of her title, suspended for a year, and fined $2,500.
After Strikeforce folded in early 2013, she signed a multi-fight contract with Invicta Fighting Championships and made a triumphant comeback against Fiona Muxlow on April 5, 2013 at Invicta FC 5: Penne vs. Waterson. On July 13, 2013, she faced Marloes Coenen for the first Invicta FC Featherweight Championship at Invicta FC 6: Coenen vs. Cyborg. She won the bout via fourth-round TKO to become the first Invicta FC Featherweight Champion.
On March 28, 2014, she competed in a Muay Thai event against Jorina Baars for the inaugural Lion Fight Women’s Welterweight Championship at Lion Fight 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and lost by unanimous decision. On February 27, 2015, she successfully defended her Invicta Featherweight championship against Charmaine Tweet by first-minute TKO at Invicta FC 11.
Her final two fights at Invicta FC were on July 9, 2015, against Faith Van Duin, and on January 16, 2016, against Daria Ibragimova, both of which she won, defending her featherweight title. She later signed with the UFC and made her official debut on May 14, 2016, with a TKO victory over Leslie Smith at UFC 198.
She then defeated Lina Länsberg in a catchweight bout at UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24, 2016, and was set to face the first UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine de Randamie. Randamie, however, refused to fight her, citing her previous drug usage record, and was stripped of the belt for failing to fight Cyborg.
She fought Tonya Evinger for the vacated title and won the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship on July 29, 2017, by TKO in the third round at UFC 214.
