Bruno Petkovi (born September 16, 1994) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Dinamo Zagreb and the Croatia national team.
Petkovi, who was born in Metkovic, Croatia, began his youth career with his hometown teams ONK Metkovi and NK Neretva before joining Dinamo Zagreb in 2007. He stayed there until September 4, 2009, when he was transferred to the youth academy of city rivals NK Zagreb. He spent the next two seasons with NK Hak (2010-11) and Hrvatski Dragovoljac (2011-12) before joining Serie A club Catania.
Petkovi was officially transferred to Calcio Catania on August 27, 2012. The transfer fee was not disclosed, but Petkovi was immediately integrated into the club’s youth academy upon his arrival. His first call-up to the senior squad came on January 27, 2013, in a 2-1 league victory over Fiorentina at home.
His Serie A debut came on the final day of the 2012-13 season, when he came on as an 89th-minute replacement in a 2-2 away draw with Torino. Petkovi was promoted to the first team and given the number 32 jersey ahead of the 2013-14 Serie A season.

Club career

Petkovi joined Trapani in Serie B in January 2016. He scored seven goals in the second round of the Serie B season, as the Sicilian squad came dangerously close to gaining promotion to Serie A, losing only in the last play-off match against Pescara. He scored three goals in the first round of the 2017-18 Serie B season the next season. Petkovi was purchased by Serie A club Bologna for 1.2 million euros on January 12, 2017. He appeared in 21 Serie A games for the team before being loaned to Hellas Verona on January 11, 2018.
Also, he joined Dinamo Zagreb on a season-long loan on August 6, 2018, with Dinamo obligated to buy out his contract at the end of the loan if certain requirements are met. He scored his first goal for Dinamo in a 1-0 home win over NK Lokomotiva on August 25. Petkovi grew more vital to the squad as the season progressed, and he played a starring part at the top of Dinamo Zagreb’s season, the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League Round of 32 home tie against Viktoria Plze, when he assisted the first goal and scored the third in the 3-0 triumph. Petkovi played a key role in Dinamo Zagreb’s victorious Champions League qualification campaign, scoring four goals against Saburtalo Tbilisi at home and away, Ferencváros at home, and Rosenborg at home. His efforts earned him a new deal with Dinamo, which he signed on September 13, 2019, and will keep him at the club until 2024.
On 18 September 2019, he made his Champions League debut in a 4-0 home win against Atalanta, and on 6 November, he scored his first goal in a 3-3 home tie with Shakhtar Donetsk.
