Playing Career Of Anton Forsberg
Anton began his hockey career with Modo Hockey in his native Sweden. He made his senior debut with Modo in the top tier Elitserien in 2011-12. The Columbus Blue Jackets selected him 188th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The year after his draught, he was chosen to represent Sweden at the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
Anton spent his second season in North America with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
During this season, he helped lead the team to the 2016 Calder Cup playoffs, where they won their first Calder Cup championship in franchise history by winning all nine playoff starts; he was recalled to the NHL on an emergency basis during this season.

On April 1, 2014, he made his professional debut in North America, stopping 25 of 26 shots to lead the Springfield Falcons to a 3-1 victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
During the 2014-15 AHL season, he played in 10 of the Falcons’ 11 consecutive wins, setting a new franchise record. As a result of his success, he made his NHL debut on November 1, 2014, at the Prudential Center, against the New Jersey Devils.
Anton was reassigned to the American Hockey League for the 2016-17 season after attending Blue Jackets training camp. He made his first appearance for the Blue Jackets in a 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on January 10, 2017.
On June 23, 2017, the Blue Jackets traded Anton (along with Brandon Saad and a fifth-round pick in 2018) to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Artemi Panarin, Tyler Motte, and a sixth-round pick in 2017.

2017
Forsberg was reassigned to the American Hockey League to begin the 2016-17 season after attending Blue Jackets training camp. Forsberg made his first appearance for the Blue Jackets in a 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on January 10, 2017.
