“Agency” Illustrates The Cutthroat Nature of the Business Sector

The fact that the action takes place in an advertising agency is an interesting plot point.

It illustrates the struggle of the firm that is forced to curry favor with the marketers while also visually exhibiting the team member’s aims and achievements in the format of a video game, which doubles the excitement.

The corporation has no choice but to curry favor with the advertising.

The drama convincingly conveys the cutthroat nature of the industry by including scenes in which characters do their presentations, discuss the significance of catchphrases, and highlight the fact that they work at an extremely competitive advertising agency.

However, it takes six episodes for the series to properly convey such themes because it spends a significant amount of screen time describing office politics in which Go Ah In and Choi Chang Soo (Cho Seong Ha) are engaged.

Cho Seong Ha plays the role of Go Ah In. Even the drama’s name, Agency, was questioned by some as being the most appropriate moniker for it.

Fortunately, the seventh episode takes an interesting new direction when a significant contract is awarded to her team by a huge corporation.

We can now understand why the drama was given the name Agency. Additionally, as the main characters try to vie for power by winning the presenting competition, the reader’s curiosity about the story increases.

The manner in which the story of the drama is told will determine whether or not it is successful. It’s possible that the actual fight to win over the viewers hasn’t even started yet.

Agency (K-Drama): Review

  • The fact that this drama illustrates the strength of female solidarity is maybe the most noteworthy aspect of it.
  • The main character, Go Ah In, comes from a humble working-class background and attended an unnamed institution of higher education.
  • To make matters even more difficult for her, she is a female employee, which often means that she has a much lower probability of being promoted to an executive position.
  • She has a fantastic work ethic, and she has a lot of spirit, so she is able to overcome all of the challenges and realize her goal of becoming the managing director of the company. This breaks the so-called “glass ceiling.”
  • However, it turns out that her promotion was part of the company’s plan to improve the public’s perception of the business, and a year later, she was passed up for a promotion.
  • There is where the narrative actually starts. Even when faced with the most difficult circumstances, she does not give up on her goals and continues to fight her way through in order to achieve a position that is superior to that of a contractual executive.

  • The main character in the drama works to overcome the preconceptions that have been held against her.
  • Because it represents the struggle of other female employees and the teamwork they used to overcome their challenges, her endeavor is made all the more valuable because of this reflection.
  • Kang Han Na (Son Na Eun), an ambitious woman from a super-rich family who can’t be the right heir to her family fortune, and Eun Jung (Jeon Hye Jin), a working mom who attempts to combine work and home responsibilities at the same time, work together for a larger objective to overcome the invisible wall.
  • The show does a good job of telling its tale by putting the spotlight on the accomplishments of female office workers, who have traditionally been relegated to supporting parts in male-centered office dramas.
