Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Combined Competitive Examination Syllabus & Exam pattern
The Assam Public Service Commission holds the Combined Competitive Examination for the appointment of a number of posts including Labour Inspector, Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Excise, Superintendent of Taxes, Superintendent of Excise, Assam Police Service (Jr. Grade), Assam Civil Service (Jr. Grade), Assam Land & Revenue Service (Jr. Grade) and Assistant Employment Officer. Application form for the exam can be downloaded from the official site www.apsc.nic.in. Candidates have to fill the form and send it with the required documents to Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22
To apply for the posts under APSC the candidate must fulfill the following criteria-
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Must hold a Degree from any universities established by a Central or State Act in India.
- Should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age when applying for the posts.
- Must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their application.

The combined Competitive Exams involves three stages – Preliminary exam, Main exam and Viva Voce.
The preliminary exam will have only MCQs and consists of two parts-
