AICTE’s strategic association with Wheebox will improve the student’s job skills
“Under this process, AICTE’s deliberate association with Wheebox will enable candidates from technical and business schools to test their employability skills in a standardized way by using Wheebox Employability Skill Test, “said AICTE chairman Anil Sahasrabudhe. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has collaborated up with global online skill assessment firm Wheebox to enhance the job skills and techniques of students. The engineering and MBA schools will be benefited through this, as they can take pre-emptive size to improve various employability competencies of students, before they start applying for jobs, said AICTE in a release. Under this association, Wheebox will conduct employability skill test to give aspirants a view of their capabilities.

For IIM faculty Quota may be introduced
“The IIM Bill will provide more condition of self-government to the IIMs, and allow them to offer degree courses, which they cannot do now because of their status as a society. We will modify existing laws like we did for IITs and NITs to allow them to offer degree courses,” said Prakash Javadekar.Government plans to introduce reservation in teaching positions at Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). The Union HRD ministry is likely to grasp talks in this consider with the chiefs of theses premier B-schools. Chairmen and directors of IIMs will meet at IIM Shillong on September 20 to discuss the proposal to introduce quotas for IIM faculty, said HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.
Student call for an unspecified desire over mass failure: DU law results
Delhi University’s law students once again call for an unspecified desire strike over the failure of 50 per cent students in the semester exams. Last month, the university declared the results of the semester exams but the students alleged there was some problem with it as some of them have been marked absent while scores of few others were revised later. Out of 1944 students, 882 students have failed in at least one subject in the semester examination “We have been talking to the authorities since last month and exploring the re-evaluation options as well but nothing has materialized forcing us to go on strike again,” a protesting student said.

PM Modi celebrates his birthday with tribals, disabled and Mother too
Celebrating his birthday in his home state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 66 on Saturday, began his day by meeting his mother, Hiraba, in Gandhinagar, and later attended two public functions in central and south Gujarat. Modi, who arrived in Gujarat on Friday night, met Hiraba at 7 am, and spent about half-an-hour with her. While it was earlier reported that he may visit his younger brother, Prahlad Modi, in Ahmedabad to condole his daughter’s death, he did not meet him. Later in the day, Modi went to Limkheda, in the tribal district of Dahod — his first visit to the area since becoming Prime Minister.
