Monu Manesar: Who Is He? Age, Bio, Cotroversy, Career and More
When two Muslim males, named as Junaid and Nasir, were discovered dead in the back of a burning vehicle on February 16 in the Bhiwani district of Haryana, Monu Manesar grabbed news once again, just after the killing of Waris Khan. Both individuals were natives of the village of Gopalgarh, which is located in the state of Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.
Ismail, a relative of the two men, said that they had been burned alive after being kidnapped by six members of the Haryana section of the Bajrang Dal, including Monu Manesar, and speaking to Frontline, Ismail reported that they had been burned alive.
Ismail mentioned in his complaint to the police that Junaid and Nasir had departed for Bharatpur town on the morning of February 15 for some personal job.
He stated this information in his complaint to the police. At approximately nine in the morning, an unknown individual told him that Junaid and Nasir had been “brutally beaten up” by a group of men prior to being kidnapped by the same gang. “Monu Manesar and his group are responsible for the murder of these individuals.
“They kidnapped Junaid and Nasir from the Piruka forests in Rajasthan and transported them to Bhiwani in Haryana, where they were burned alive,” he added. “The Piruka forests are in Rajasthan.”
Ismail’s complaint adds, “The people at the location said they were from the Bajrang Dal, including Anil, a resident of Multhan; Shrikant, a resident of Maroda; Rinku Saini, a resident of Ferozepur Jhirka; Lokesh Singla, a resident of Hodal; and Monu, a resident of Manesar.”
On the basis of this complaint, the Rajasthan Police filed a First Information Report (FIR) on February 16 against six members of the Bajrang Dal under the Indian Penal Code Sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person), 367 (kidnapping or abducting in order to subject person to grievous hurt, slavery, etc.), and 368.
The complaint alleged that the Bajrang Dal members (wrongfully concealing or keeping in confinement, kidnapped or abducted person). Many people in Haryana regard Monu Manesar as the embodiment of the cow protection movement.
The Rajasthan Police have stated that Junaid had five previous charges of cow smuggling lodged against him, although Nasir does not have a criminal history.
Monu Manesar went on social media shortly after the FIR was filed to assert that the charges that had been brought against them were without foundation. “There was not a single member of the Bajrang Dal present at the scene when the incident occurred. There is not a single member of Bajrang Dal who is responsible for this.
The tragic situation has been brought to our attention via various social media platforms. He stated that the culprits should face severe punishment, and that no one should be exempted from the punishment.
The Bajrang Dal vehemently denied any involvement on the part of its members in the killings of Junaid and Nasir during a press conference that took place on February 17 in Gurugram. Representatives of Bajrang Dal stated that the claims were completely without merit, that there was no proof against any of their members, and that it was inappropriate to file a FIR against them.
The organisation also claimed that the Congress government in Rajasthan was taking advantage of the situation to single out gaurakshaks and exploit them for their own political gain.

Dharmender Manesar, who served as his teacher, utilised the same tactic. A pattern emerged across all of his social media sites that was inconsistent with his assertions that he does not engage in violent behaviour.
When Frontline first asked Monu Manesar about his role in the death of Waris, he categorically denied having any involvement in the incident.

Monu Manesar: Lynchings
On Wednesday, the families of Nasir and Junaid, who lived in the Ghatmika hamlet of the Bharatpur district in Rajasthan, filed a complaint with the local police over their disappearance.4
On Thursday, the burnt corpses of Nasir and Junaid were discovered in Bhiwani, which is located in Haryana. The families claim that their loved ones were kidnapped and then burned to death.
Mohammad Jabir, age 31, was a relative of both Junaid and Nasir. He believed that Monu Manesar, one of the five accused persons identified in the FIR, was to blame for the killings of Junaid and Nasir.
He questioned the authorities by asking, “Why aren’t they arresting the accused?” If Monu Manesar, a member of Bajrang Dal, is identified in the FIR, then the police should be questioning why they are not arresting him.
Ismail, a relative of Junaid’s, stated that the family found out about the kidnapping from the police in Ferozpur Jhirka, which is located in the Nuh district of Haryana. After some time, the burnt corpses were discovered in the Loharu region of Bhiwani.
“We are seeking justice. Abductor(s) set fire to my cousin Junaid and his pal while they were still alive. Ismail, a 62-year-old inhabitant of Ghatmika, believes that those responsible for the crime should receive severe punishment.
Anil, Shrikant, Rinku Saini, and Lokesh Singla are the other individuals who have been named as suspects in this investigation, in addition to Monu. All are claimed to belong to Bajrang Dal.

Mohit Yadav is the real name of the person known as Monu Manesar. He was born and raised in Manesar, which is located in Haryana, and he is currently 30 years old.5
In 2011, Monu became a co-coordinator for the Bajrang Dal in the district of Manesar, which is his home district. He was also a member of the district cow protection task force, which was constituted by the authorities after Haryana’s cow protection law went into effect in December 2015.

It would appear that Monu and the other Bajrang Dal agents work in conjunction with the Haryana Police. Monu shares a photo on his Twitter account with a tweet dated August 15, 2022, in which he claims to have collaborated with the Haryana Police to apprehend individuals who were smuggling cows.

Cattle slaughter in Haryana was become a punishable offence by the Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Act, which went into effect in 2015. Violators faced harsh jail sentences ranging from three to ten years in length. Following the passing of this law, a number of cow protection groups, in addition to those that already existed, became more visible in their advocacy.
Allegations have been made that cow protection groups have been harassing a specific neighbourhood in order to advance their agenda and indulge in high-handed behaviour. Monu has, however, asserted that he is the target of death threats from those who are suspected of being smugglers. The Haryana police responded to his concerns by filing two First Information Reports (FIRs) last month.
In addition to this, Monu has been active in campaigns against the phenomenon that the Hindu Right refers to as “love jihad.” In a video that he posted to Twitter, he makes the claim that he witnessed a man engaging in the illegal activity. In the footage, the victim is seen being assaulted in broad daylight.
Claims Against Monu Manesar
A few days prior to that, the family of 22-year-old Varis accused cow vigilantes, including Monu, of beating him to death after branding him a cow smuggler in the Nuh district of Haryana, even though the police said he died in a road accident. Monu was one of the cow vigilantes that the family accused.
On Saturday, the police reported that a Santro automobile driven by Varis and two other individuals, Shokeen and Nafis, collided with a tempo truck near the village of Khori Kalan on the Tauru-Bhiwadi route.
Monu asserted that they had freed a cow from the vehicle and transported the animal to a medical facility after it had been harmed.
“I went live on Facebook and also asked the name of one of the injured, but we did not hurt any of them,” he had claimed previously. “I went live on Facebook and also asked the name of one of the injured.”
According to officials, the police in Gurugram, which is located in the state of Haryana, have undertaken raids in an effort to apprehend him in connection with a case of attempted murder that was opened against him on February 7 at the Pataudi police station.
A fight broke out between two groups in Pataudi’s Baba Shah Mohalla when Monu Manesar and his crew were present, as reported by the police. Monu Manesar was with his team.
Mubin Khan, a resident of the same neighbourhood, was the one who lodged the complaint. He stated that his son Mohin had been injured by a bullet after being targeted by gunfire during an exchange between two groups.
After receiving a complaint from Mubin Khan, a FIR was filed at the Pataudi police station against Monu and the other individuals named in the complaint under Section 307 (attempt to murder).
“In the case of the attempted murder, Monu Manesar is wanted, and we are also conducting raids to apprehend him,” said Manbir Singh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Manesar. “We are also conducting raids to nab him.”
In connection with the lynchings that occurred in Rajasthan, the police in Rajasthan have begun searching for him.
Monu denied his involvement in the case involving the killings of Nasir and Junair and said he was at a hotel at the time of the occurrence. This denial was made through a video message. On social media, it has also been shared by him and his supporters along with CCTV footage from the hotel.
