Elon Musk, a wealthy businessman, has gotten a lot of criticism for buying and running the social media website Twitter.
Musk, who is known for his other businesses like Tesla and SpaceX, started a plan to buy the American social media company, and on October 27, 2022, he bought it outright.
Since then, he has made a lot of changes, such as getting the company to decide to make money off of verified accounts. But his most recent choice has made people even more angry. Two-factor authentication (2FA), which is used by Twitter, helps users keep their accounts safe. Musk says, however, that the service will no longer be free.
The CEO of Twitter has decided that non-verified users will no longer be able to use text messages as a 2FA method after March 20. This has not gone over well with Twitter users, who have taken to the app to show their displeasure. Micah Parsons, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys, is one of them.
Parsons showed his displeasure by saying that the decision might make him leave the app altogether. Musk’s decision to make more money off of the social media site has upset a lot of people, and it looks like Parsons will be one of the millions to stop using the site.
