Narleen Campton: Who Was She?

On May 3, 1949, Narleen B. Dorn Campton made her debut into the world in Los Angeles County, California.1

She was born into a Jewish family that belonged to the middle class. She attended college, had ballet and piano classes as a child, and took family vacations to Disneyland.

Each of Narleen’s children has a different father, and she has one daughter and three sons. Her daughter’s name is Sabrina Tipich, while her sons’ names are Azariah Hulsey, Tro Anderson, and Nathan Campton.

According to Sabrina, their mother, their four siblings, and themselves comprised “a cohesive family unit.” In the early 1980s, Narleen made the move to the quaint community of Northport, which is located in Stevens County, Washington.

The village had a population of less than 600 people, which meant that she could live the safe, calm, and enjoyable life that she desired. Her offspring described how everyone in the close-knit community treasured their mother and referred to her as “MOM.”

She was an unruffled woman who kept to herself and did everything in her power to assist those around her.

After receiving a request from Narleen’s son to check on Narleen on November 26, 2011, her friend Dianne Fitzgerald went to see how she was doing and discovered that she had passed away.

At approximately 2:40 in the afternoon, Dianne arrived at Narleen’s house, which was in the shape of a L and was situated to the southeast of Northport. In the laundry room, she found Narleen’s dead body.

She reported the incident to the authorities, and when they investigated, they found no indication that Narleen’s home had been broken into.

The autopsy report of Narleen revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, which was brought on by her skull being constantly pounded against the bathtub.

She had multiple cuts on her body, including on her breasts and cheek, and a stun gun or a taser may have created burn scars all over her flesh. She had already experienced cuts on numerous other parts of her body.

According to the investigator, the victim, who was 62 years old, was probably subjected to torture and was probably breathing at the time.

Narleen Campton Murder Case: Current Location Of Main Suspect Jeremy Bryant

Jeremy never went to trial because he made a bargain with the prosecutor and pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree. This was despite the fact that there was substantial evidence against him.2

As a consequence of this, he was given a prison sentence of 234 months. According to what was shown on the show, Narleen’s children were dissatisfied with the sentence and looked to Jeremy for answers with increasing desperation.

Yet, as part of his plea deal, he agreed not to be subjected to cross-examination in court.

The official records of the court indicate that the man, who is now 42 years old, is currently serving his term at the Stafford Creek Correctional Facility in Aberdeen, which is located in the state of Washington.

On the other side, the prosecution believes that “not all the people involved in all parts of the killing have been held accountable,” therefore the investigation into Narleen’s death is still ongoing.

James Caruso, a retired detective sergeant with the Steven County Sheriff’s Department, is optimistic that further witnesses will come forward with information on the investigation.

Jeremy Bryant: Who Is He?

Officers from the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office went to the residence of Jeremy Bryant, 35, in Kettle Falls on Friday and placed him under arrest in connection with the death of Narleen Campton, who was 62 years old.3

On November 26, 2011, the body of Campton was discovered in the home she shared with her husband in Northport. After not hearing from Campton for a few days, a neighbor made a phone call to the authorities and reported discovering her deceased at her residence.

After discovering that Campton had passed away, her neighbor searched the house and then informed the sheriff.

After being taken into custody in connection with the Campton investigation, the Sheriff stated that Bryant was charged with First Degree Murder and was then placed into jail.

On Monday, Bryant made an initial appearance in the District Court for Stevens County before the Honorable Gina Tveit. At that time, the bond was established at $500,000 for him.

Bryant will be arraigned in the Stevens County Superior Court the following week with the representation provided by Colville attorney James Irwin, who was first assigned to represent Bryant in this matter. There has not been a formal complaint lodged as of yet.
