Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh was founded 138 years ago as the University of Punjab Lahore. University is currently located in sector 14 and sector 25 of Chandigarh. The various colleges are spread over 8 districts of Punjab and some union territories of Chandigarh. This University has as many as 78 departments and 188 affiliated colleges. PU CET PG EXAMINATION

Punjab University offers undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in various streams. PU CET PG is also known as Punjab University post graduate common entrance test is conducted by Punjab University Chandigarh. It is a University level examination that is conducted once a year for admission in around 188 participating colleges under Punjab University. The mode of application for this examination is online but the examination, as well as the counseling, is conducted in offline mode. The various courses available for which the applicants can opt for are LLM, MBA, MPed, MCom, MTech, MSc, MA, BPed. Eligibility criteria for admission applications depend upon the course the student wants to opt for.

SYLLABUS AND EXAM PATTERN

The examination is conducted in English and consists of an MCQ-based question paper. There is a total number of 60 questions and the duration of each exam is 70 minutes. Each paper has 120 marks and 0.5 marks are deducted for an incorrect answer. Depending on the postgraduate course the student wants to follow the subjects are combined for the exam. the final exam then the combination of physics chemistry biology and mathematics.
