Medical personnel checked on Hamlin and discovered that he was not breathing. They performed CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) on the young man before transporting him to the UC Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. The game was called off indefinitely.
The Buffalo Bills issued a statement in the early hours of Tuesday morning, stating that Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following the collision and that his heartbeat was restored on the field before he could be transported to the hospital.
