Jonah was born into an athletic family full of players, as his uncles Blair and Tony MacDonald are both former NHL players like him. Blair played 219 games for the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers, while his brother, Tony, is the Carolina Hurricanes’ head of amateur scouting.

Gadjovich began playing minor ice hockey as a child in Ontario with the Whitby Wildcats of the Eastern AAA Hockey League. He was quickly selected by the Owen Sound Attack in the second round of the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. Gadjovich scored 89 goals and had 66 assists in 228 games with the Attack.

Jonah Had A Promising Amateur Career

He  started as a standard player signing a contract with the Owen Sound Attack. He was selected by the Ownes in the second round of the 2014 OHL draught.

Hockey Canada invited Gadjovich to his 2014 National Under-17 Development Camp. He later rejoined the Attack for his rookie season. Gadjovich was named to the OHL Second All-Star Team in 2017.

As the 2017 NHL Entry Draft approached, the NHL Central Scouting Bureau ranked him 39th among North American skaters. In November, he was ranked 60th, but his outstanding performance and breakout season propelled him up the rankings.

Martin and Gadjovich recently faced off against each other on December 8, 2022, when the Canucks faced the Sharks. In the game, Gadjovich had two shots on goal and three hits.

Gadjovich was born in Whitby, Ontario, on October 8, 1998. He was born into an athletic family, as his uncles Blair and Tony MacDonald were both NHL players (NHL).

Career Of Jonah Gadjovich

He played for Team OMHA White at the Gold Cup in Kitchener, where he had a goal and three assists in five games. Gadjovich recorded his fourth hat-trick of the season against the London Knights to help the team qualify for the 2017 Ontario Hockey League Playoffs. The Vancouver Canucks drafted Gadjovich in the second round, 55th overall, after acquiring the pick from the Columbus Blue Jackets as compensation for the Blue Jackets hiring John Tortorella. He rejoined the Attack for the 2017-18 season, appearing in eight games before signing an entry-level contract with the Canucks.
