Ibaka debuted in the NBA in 2009 and had a successful rookie season. Despite limited playing time, he averaged 6.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. His physicality was a huge plus on the court, and the Sonics made him a valuable starter, which increased his numbers.

After eight seasons with the Thunder, including a trip to the NBA Finals in 2012, Ibaka was traded to the Orlando Magic.
Ibaka’s time with the Magic was brief, as he was traded less than a year after arriving. In 2017, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors by the franchise.
The Congolese player fit in well with the Raptors’ system, posting six consecutive triple-doubles in early 2019. The same year, Ibaka averaged 15.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game in the regular season, leading the Raptors to their first championship.
Ibaka became a free agent after the 2019/20 season and chose to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers rather than sign an extension with Toronto. He was a valuable contributor for the Clippers, starting the majority of the games in which he appeared. Unfortunately, multiple injury issues prevented him and the team from progressing beyond the Western Conference Finals in the 2021 playoffs.

True Identity Of Serge Ibaka As A Basketball Player
Serge Ibaka is the basketball player’s only true identity. Samuel Soba was a fictitious name.
Ibaka, Serge Jonas Serge Ibaka’s given name was Ngobila when he was born.
Aside from Ibaka’s real-life motivational story, there have been a few rumours about Serge. Serge was in a four-year relationship with Keri Hilson when a strange conspiracy led to unresolved talks.
Andy Hoops, a YouTube channel, first brought the conspiracy to the public’s attention when Serge Ibaka was mistaken for his real name, Samuel Soba, and also lied about his age.
However, another channel called Ball Talk helped to clear up some of the confusion. As a result, the channel concluded that all of this false information came from a website called Bio articles.
There is no such thing as a Samuel Soba or a Jayden. And Keri Hilson did not marry in 2002, and her only connection to Serge is their four-year relationship. Also, because of the hoax created by the bio article and other related articles, the name Samuel Soba appears on Google.
Aside from that, Ibaka has a daughter who was born after Serge left Congo. Her mother and Ibaka’s father look after her. And, intriguingly, they first met when her daughter was five years old. On the first episode of Serge Ibaka: The Son of Congo, the video was featured on The Daily Dunk.
Early Life
Serge Ibaka, 7, and his family fled heavy gunfire and bombings in Congo-Brazzaville in 1997, as the civil war raged around them.
His Spanish adventure began thanks to Pera Capdevilla, a Catalan sports agent who had already identified the talented young Congolese boy as a result of his victories on his national youth team and at basketball camps throughout Europe.
Pera saw Ibaka as a diamond in the rough. Serge moved to Spain and signed with Manresa, who loaned him to L’Hospitalet, a team in a Barcelona suburb.

He played for Bàsquet Manresa in 2008-2009, when he was the league’s youngest player at 18 years old. Also, he put on a great show with them and even won the ACB Dunk Contest.

He established himself as an important member of a top Western Conference team, helping them reach the Western Conference Finals in 2016 and the NBA Finals in 2012.
After seven seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Serge was traded to the Orlando Magic in the summer of 2016.

On September 18, 1989, Serge was born. Serge is a tall, powerful basketball centre and occasional power forward who is only 33 years old.
Serge still has some of his best years ahead of him, but one constant has been his love for the Republic of the Congo, where he was born.
Ibaka has a height of 6’10”. He is 107 kilogrammes in weight. He has an athletic build. Serge also has dark brown eyes and black hair.
Family Of Serge Ibaka
Serge was born into a family of 18 children. Despite the daily violence that surrounded him and his family, his father, Désiré, and mother, Amado, both former basketball players who shone in their youth in the country, instilled in him a deep love for the game.
Serge’s childhood was marred by another tragedy: his mother died when he was nine years old. He wears the number 9 in honour of his mother.
His family was aware of rising tensions in Brazzaville. Désiré’s father decided to move the family to Ouesso, in the country’s northwest corner, to get away from the gunfire.
In this small town in the middle of the forest on the border with Cameroon, there was no easy access to water, and electricity was also intermittent.
Serge, on the other hand, was a hard worker who quickly adjusted to the situation and focused his entire effort on school and basketball.
His uncle, who was already in the Tours region of France, helped bring him over to try out for some clubs in Paris and the rest of France. Serge was not chosen despite his obvious talent.
This brief setback, however, did not deter the basketball player, who set his sights on breaking through elsewhere, further south, on the other side of the Pyrenees.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, he agreed to a two-year, $19 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The second year was a player option that he accepted in the 2021 offseason, allowing him to stay with the Los Angeles Kings for another year. He will earn $9,720,900 in the 2021-22 season.
Ibaka is an Adidas athlete who has worn a variety of Adidas sneakers over the course of his career. During his Raptors tenure, he most recently wore the ‘Adidas Mad Bounce,’ and he’s also worn the ‘Adidas Explosive Bounce.’
Who Is Ibaka’s Girlfriend?
Ibaka has had romantic relationships with a number of high-profile figures in the entertainment industry, including South African actress Pearl Thusi.
Rumors of the couple dating first surfaced in June 2018, when the actress visited Barcelona, Spain, alongside Ibaka.
Despite the fact that there were few signs of their romance at the time, more ‘evidence’ that she and Ibaka were dating continued to emerge as Pearl was content to be seen cheering him on at basketball games.
During one of these games, she was seen holding a ticket with Ibaka’s face on it. The dating rumours were confirmed when she was seen inside Ibaka’s house in videos she posted on her Instagram stories.
Ibaka’s Instagram posts also confirmed their relationship, as he shared the same food and room as Pearl’s stories.
Even though the couple hasn’t spoken about their relationship, it’s safe to assume they’re dating. It’s unclear whether they’re married or planning to get married.
