Lattimore was born in the South Carolina town of Duncan. He went to Duncan’s James F. Byrnes High School and played high school football for the Byrnes Rebels.
Lattimore earned the ESPN RISE National High School Junior Football Player of the Year in 2008, making him one of the most decorated players in South Carolina high school football history.
In his senior year, he was named South Carolina’s Mr. Football and won USA Today high school All-American accolades. On National Signing Day, he selected South Carolina over Auburn.
College life
Lattimore attended the University of South Carolina, where he played football under coach Steve Spurrier’s South Carolina Gamecocks from 2010 to 2012.
