Jonathan is a professional NFL player who has been the Chicago Blackhawks captain since 2008. He had played 14 seasons in the NFL and was about to begin his 15th season. He did, however, miss the 2019-20 season owing to health issues.

Toews also had the opportunity to serve as the caption for Canada West at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge in 2005, where he won a gold medal. Meet David Toews: The Younger Brother of Jonathan Toews
David, like Jonathan, has made his parents and family proud throughout his hockey career.
Brian Toews and Andree Gilbert reared David, 32, and his elder brother Jonathan. He and his older brother Jonathan used to play together when they were little. After seeing their enthusiasm for the game, their father built a backyard ring for them.
Following in the footsteps of his elder brother, he pursued a career as a professional ice hockey player. The New York Islanders selected him in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
However, David was acquired for future consideration by the Chicago Blackhawks. However, the Blackhawks assigned David to the AHL’s Icehogs. The Icehogs leased him to the Toledo Walleye in 2011.
Since 2008, he has worked with a variety of teams. In addition, he was selected to play in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in 2007 and represented the Canadian national team under 18. He had one assist in four matches throughout the tournament and won the bronze medal for his country.

Jonathan Toews attracted notice for his offensive play, and he was taken third overall by the Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL draught, a “Original Six” team that had struggled in recent years. He departed North Dakota after his second year to play professional hockey. In 2007-08, he joined the team and was nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year.
The next season, he was named club captain, becoming him the NHL’s second-youngest captain (behind Sidney Crosby) at the time. Toews was chosen to represent Canada in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia on December 30, 2009.
