In his early years, Snitsky played soccer at Panther Valley Excessive College. Snitsky used to be a punter in high school. In his senior year, he was named All-State. Years later, Snitsky, who debuted as an evident jobber versus Kane, would acknowledge that his original goal was for him to make a one-night appearance, return to OVW for more instruction, and then be promoted to the main roster on a full-time basis. Snitsky had to be flown in on the corporate’s company jet only to make it to Uncooked on time since WWE decided to promote him to the main roster full-time at the last minute because to how successful the Kane and Lita angle had been.

Then he and Kane got into a violent argument, which resulted in a match at Taboo Tuesday. Throughout this confrontation, Snitsky squished Kane’s larynx with a metal chair. When Kane was supposed to appear in the WWE-produced film See No Evil, WWE used this angle to justify his absence. This feud was revived on the New Year’s Revolution pay-per-view when Kane made a comeback and defeated Snitsky. Snitsky and Heidenreich first met at the 2005 Royal Rumble, when Snitsky secretly teamed up with Heidenreich to disrupt Heidenreich’s match with The Undertaker in a casket. Kane, who attacked Snitsky and Heidenreich, was later discovered within the casket. They resumed their argument in the audience before allowing the casket fight to continue. Edge claimed on the July 11 episode of Uncooked that he was aware of Snitsky’s feminine foot addiction and encouraged him to “have a go along with Lita’s feet” in exchange for his assistance in a match against Kane. Lita really praised Snitsky for his actions 9 months earlier, indicating that she was better off without having given birth to Kane’s offspring, and then kissed him as payment, their history being addressed.

On the July 18 episode of Uncooked, Snitsky faced off against WWE Champion John Cena in the Lumberjack match. Chris Jericho chose entirely heel lumberjacks to unfairly disadvantage Cena.

Snitsky and an initially reluctant Tyson Tomko formed a tag team after only a few weeks of primarily competing on Warmth. In their debut staff match, the two defeated Viscera and Val Venis, a tag team. The two would have some success as a tag team, being dubbed the top contenders for the World Tag Crew Championship at one point.
