Christian Bruey, who has been a sports anchor and news anchor for WFTV for almost 12 years, is leaving the network.
Since joining the station in 2010, Bruey has worked as a sports anchor/reporter, co-host of “Football Friday Night” on Channel 9, and host of the “Sports Brothers” podcast.

Christian Bruey said on Instagram that he is leaving the channel to start a new chapter that includes the PureCycle Technologies recycling company.
To make ultra-pure recycled polypropylene, the company comes up with a unique way to recycle plastic waste that gets rid of color, smell, and other impurities.
It also says that PureCycle’s purifying recycling can help people use less natural resources by making use of something that is easy to find: waste plastic.
Their method turns used plastic into a UPR resin that is similar to new plastic and can be used for many of the same things as new plastic made from fossil fuels. This gives a long-term solution to the problem of single-use plastics by making recycled polypropylene an affordable and useful choice.
