Roger Stockton And His Son Bradley Died At ‘The Isle Of Man TT’ Accident

The tragic deaths of Roger and Bradley Stockton, a father-and-son Sidecar duo, occurred in a crash at the Isle of Man TT on Friday. This brings the total number of fatalities that have occurred during the event in 2022 to five.

The tragedy took place only a little over one mile into the circuit, close to the Ago’s Leap section, which was the location of the disaster that claimed the life of sidecar driver Cesar Chanal during the inaugural sidecar race on Saturday.

According to the organizers of the TT, the event that took place on Friday resulted in the deaths of Roger, who was 56 years old, and Bradley Stockton, who was 21 years old.

A father and his son, who was 21 years old, were killed in an accident during yesterday’s Sidecar race on the Isle of Man, making them the fourth and fifth competitors to lose their lives at this year’s TT races.

Roger Stockton, 56, and his son Bradley, both of Crewe, Cheshire, were killed in a mishap on the second lap of Friday’s race. This accident occurred at the exact same location on the 37.73-mile course as sidecar driver Cesar Chanel was killed the previous Saturday.

Roger Stockton was taking part in the competition for the twentieth time, during which he had achieved a total of 12 top-20 finishes and four top-ten finishes. This is the first year that Bradley Stockton has competed as a passenger, and he finished sixth in the first race. The two drivers combined for a second-place result in the British F2 championship.

According to a statement released by TT chiefs, the Isle of Man TT Races can confirm that Roger Stockton, 56, and Bradley Stockton, 21, both from Crewe, Cheshire, were both killed in an incident on the second and last lap of the second Sidecar Race of the 2022 Isle of Man TT Races. The incident occurred during the second Sidecar Race of the 2022 Isle of Man TT Races.

The event took place close to Ago’s Leap just a little bit less than one mile into the race. Both Roger and Bradley, father and son, were in the car together, and they took turns driving and riding as passengers.

Roger was a seasoned competitor in the TT, since he was taking part in his 20th TT race on this particular day.

He was a frequent participant in the TT from the years 2000 to 2008, and he returned to the competition in 2010, 2017, and this year. During the course of his career, he finished in the top 20 positions twelve times, placed in the top 10 four times, and earned ten Bronze Replicas.

On Monday, Bradley finished in an impressive eighth position alongside his father, despite the fact that this was Bradley’s very first time competing in the TT.

Roger and Bradley were consistent podium finishers and frontrunners in the race for the British F2 Sidecar Cup Title in 2022. The previous year, they had finished in second place in the championship.

Mark Purslow and Davy Morgan, two lone racers, both died in separate accidents during practice week and the first Supersport race on Monday. Three of the five deaths that have blighted the TT’s comeback since the COVID-19 epidemic have been traced to the Stocktons and Chanal.
