Sikkim PSC (Sikkim public service commission) is like the other state commission service in India which plays as a backbone for the state. In the year 1983 it was constituted with the appointment of the chairman only. It had a simple beginning but with increase in time it gained more responsibility and maturity.Currently the Sikkim public service commission is inviting applicants for the post of the revenue inspector. All the eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job post online in the official website of the Sikkim PSC. The posts under land revenue and disaster management department like revenue inspector/ junior land record officer/ survey inspector in the Sikkim sub-ordinate land revenue service are available. Only the localities of Sikkim are eligible to apply for this job. For the selection procedure there will be a written exam followed by a document verification and viva voice/ personal interview. The date and time for the exam will be intimated to the candidate after the written exam procedure.

The interested candidates can apply online once the registration process starts. The payment can be made through credit/debit card, net banking or offline by paying through E Challan. After the successful payment is made an acknowledgement/ registration slip with unique registration number appears. The candidate has to take print out of the slip and must not disclose this slip number. With the due course of time the checking will be done.

Sikkim PSC Revenue Inspector Selection Procedure

Applicants age limit is between 18-40 years. The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written exam and interview. For the eligibility criteria the candidate must be a graduate from any recognized institution. The other qualifications required like

1. a) Basic knowledge in Computer
2. b) Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.
3. c) Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages, viz. Nepali, Sikkimese, Bhutia, Lepcha or Limbooo.
4. d) Should have valid local Employment Card.

Sikkim PSC Revenue Inspector Previous Year Question Papers

The written exam will be conducted in 2 parts in which they are divided by marks i.e. part 1 consist of general knowledge and general English which will be for 100 marks and the questions will be MCQ and conventional based for 2 hours and the part 2 contains arithmetic (secondary level) and general studies for 200 marks and the question pattern will be MCQ for 3 hours.

In the paper 1 the 100 marks will be divided as 50-50 for both sections. In general knowledge section the questions will be asked from current affairs i.e. national international or local and basics of computer. In the general English portion there will be comprehension, writing, vocabulary, direct/indirect speech, idioms and phrases, verbs, synonyms and antonyms and others. In paper 2 the mark division will be 100-100 for both section. In arithmetic questions from fraction, simplification, profit loss, percentage, ration proportion, trigonometry, areas problems, percentage, decimal and others of secondary level will be asked for 100 marks. And for the rest 100 marks general studies like political history, geography, land laws, revenue administration and others will be asked. After the completion of the written exam viva voice will be held for 40 marks. Depending on the performance of the candidate in these exams they will be selected for the second level.These exams can help in getting a better job position and with the increasing completion one must try to focus and study so that they could be able to crack this exams.
