Chennai Open 2017
- Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut won the men’s singles tittle of the Chennai Open 2017 on January 9, 2017.
- Roberto Bautista Agut beat Russian 20-year-old Daniil Medvedev to claim the first ATP tournament of the season.
- Rohan Bopanna and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan beat Purav Raja and Divij Sharan in the first-ever all-Indian doubles final at Chennai Open.
- The Chennai Open is a professional tennis tournament played onoutdoor hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour.
Brisbane International 2017
- Sania Mirza won the Brisbane International with Bethanie Mattek-Sands on January 6, 2017. The Brisbane International is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts in Brisbane, Queensland.
- It is part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour and of the WTA Premier tournaments of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour.
- It is held annually in January at the Queensland Tennis Centre just before the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, the Australian Open as part of the Australian Open Series. It is owned by Tennis Australia.
Qatar Open 2017
- Novak Djokovic defeated Andy Murray to claim the first title of the ATP season with a victory in the Qatar Open final on January 6, 2017. The Qatar Open, is a professional tennis tournament played oh outdoor hard courts.
- It is currently part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour. It is held annually in January at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha (Qatar), since 1993.
CRICKET
India-EngLand ODI Series 2017
- India won the series by 2-1 againist England on January 22, 2017.
- Kedar Jadhav is the ‘Man of the Series’ for his 232 runs in the series. He has been the real find for India in this series.
- Ben Stokes was the man of the match in 3rd ODI for his unbeaten 57 run innings and his three wickets to help England win the final ODI.
